I have to stop Penfroldo from putting his on. Some nights I catch him staring at it and sweating, I don't trust the thing, should I throw it into a pit of fire?

I have a student who wears a celtic knot that she hasn't taken off in the 5 years I've known her. I figured out the other day that I have worn my favorite pentacle every day for the last 7 years, day and night. I've taken it off for 4 occasions, Roman Catholic weddings or funerals, so I didn't disrupt the more straightlaced members of the family. Hey, it doesn't bother me to tuck it in my bra for a day, but it might give Grandma a coniption fit and ruin her enjoyment of her grandaughters wedding if a "satanist!!!" showed up. (Snicker) so no biggie to me to tuck it rather than try and pontificate to those who don't want to hear it. But yeah, 7 years straight this baby has been around my neck, I only take it off to change the chain when I snap it occasionally (hey, over 7 years, you go through about a chain a year just fiddling with it). I've never seen my best friend without the tiny silver hoop in his upper ear cartiledge.

Nope, would not bother me that YOUR wife takes off her wedding ring, treating it like simple jewelry.

Now if it was my wife doing that, ... well, .... it still would not bother me. As long as she put it back on in the morning, no big deal.

I take mine off at nite as a matter of fact I don't wear them much around the house when I go out I put them on unless I'm just running to the gas station or the store in a quick and my husband has never had a problem with this for the last 15 years

Only a very insecure man would be bothered by this.

Some women, and I'm one of them, take off all jewelry including the wedding ring(s) at night for various reasons, including swelling of the fingers during the night.

I can't sleep with any jewelry on. Never have been able to. Husband does the same. And I can go days without wearing my wedding ring. So it doesn't bother me.... ;)

"My wife wears her wedding ring like jewelry." Uhhh..It is jewelry. Speaking from my own experience, it's pretty uncomfortable to sleep with a ring(s) on. Your hand can get caught on stuff. I've scratched my face before and forgot I had a ring on..OUCH! Be glad she is WEARING it at all.

My fiance just asked me why I did this yesterday! To me, Its not worth the stress/heartache I would have if it came off while I was sleeping and got lost somewhere in the sheets and the dog ate it. I would cry so bad, and Im sure he would too! $$

Dont worry about it, It just means that she wants to take care of it because she loves you and wants to keep it forever!

At least she isnt taking if off when she leaves the house!! THAT wouldnt be a good sign!

Hope this helps.

Nope. It wouldn't bother me. By taking it off at night, she probably protects her wedding ring better than wearing it. Besides, who's going to see her hand besides you. So what is the problem?

Your wife can leave her rings off night and day and it wouldn't bother me.
