I went on an amazing first date with a really nice guy after emailing and talking on the phone. We have a ton in common and really hit it off. Within the first couple of days he was text messaging me with, Will you marry me? It kind of creeped me out, but I thought that he was trying to be funny. The texting continued, along with great conversation. The first date was amazing with dinner, then off to see a band and we sat and cuddled in the booth, which was followed by kissing. It was great. The conversation then turned into more of a physical nature and then it got kind of weird for both of us... Not quite sure what to do or where this is going... Any ideas? He texted today and said that he is scared of me....

WOW... babe, thats really akward. he sounds like he has some potential, but he's a little weird. maybe he's just really nervous. when you are nervous you tend to do weird things and say stupid ones. maybe he just really likes you and he doesn't quite know how to convey it. i would try to go on another date thats more simple, like ice skating or just go over to one of your houses and hang out. Try to get more comefortable with each other. you feel like you know the other person so much because you talk to them over the phone, but when you meet in person, its kinda like u need to get introduced all over again...

Hello? You are moving way too FAST! SLOW DOWN! What kind of an idiot says he wants to marry you after a first date? And YES there is something wrong with that and yet you don't listen to your intuition and put on the brakes?

Both of you need to grow up a little and take it slow. You should never be kissing and getting emotionally involved until you get to know the person. Dating is a time to check someone out, not to dive into something you are not ready for in the least.

Sounds as if you two are desperate and needy. Learn to establish a friendship first, then if things are very good, move slowly into more. BTW, it takes at least 18 months of steady contact to actually get to know someone, seeing them in different situations, notice reactions, etc.

i think you guys might be moving to fast, which could be a problem. You might get bored of him real quickly but it all depends on how you wanna take things ya no

There is something wrong with him. Stay away from him. The whole thing is very weird and he may have mental problems.
