she's 18 and i'm 19 and i'm looking for a relationship thats gonna last as long as possible but we've only talked a couple times.
if i give her some flowers at the beginning of the date and everything goes well and she's happy at the end of the date would it be ok right before the kiss, if there is one, to give her a $200 necklace on the first date or is that too much? if so how much do you think would be ok to spend on it or skip it completely?

that's a lot to spend on a first date. don't do it. return the necklace and take her to a movie or something. if you know of something she likes, take her to it

A $200 necklace is really kind of a big gift for the first date. She's probably going to think it weird that you are giving her a necklace at all.

You sound very generous, and I don't want to kill your generous spirit, but if you start giving gifts too early it is going to come off as weird. As much as she may really like the gift, she's going to wonder what is wrong with you. At the very least, it comes off as pushy. Like you are trying to buy her affections. Like you are trying to obligate her to go on a second date. Neither of those would sit well.

Save the necklace and give it to her for christmas. Or, maybe for say a 4th date (no set guidline here, just when you're sure that she likes you and wouldn't think the gift to be pushy), you send her the necklace, say in the mail. Include a card, something like, "I saw this and thought it would look really pretty on you. I thought maybe you'd like to wear it on our date on Saturday. I look forward to seeing you then", etc.

movies are a bad place for a first date.
flowers are always a good idea to give her when your picking her up but just take her out to dinner and get to know each other or just somewhere when you can talk and have a good time.
but dont buy the necklace because you could end up thinking that she is annoying or not see anyything in the future its a lot of money to spend on a first date.

flowers are great but such an expensive jewelry so early in the friendship is a no no. go out together and do something u guys have never done before. go to the movies, walk on the beach, watch the sunset together, go to a game lounge, or anything else of ur choice that is fun.
good luck

200 bux is a little xpensive for a first date gift. save that for like the 6 month mark of the relationship, at least. skip gifts aside from flowers till you are exclusive to one another.
