Ive grown up with an alcoholic dad.... now I'm married and have a wonderful husband who drinks every weekend...not excessively, but I cringe by habit when I hear a drink being poured. This is starting to affect our relationship becoz, I've started telling him not to drink every weekend and my husband insists it's not too much and that's it's just to relax.

I went through hell with my dad...seen him start from one or two drinks and over the years increase to 6 and 7 and all the time insisting he's not an alcoholic. Now, I'm scarred my husband will progress into that...it's a natural fear. How do I:

a) get over this
b) tell my husband about my dad...do I? I don't want him to think badly about him or not respect him anymore becoz he is a nice man without the bottle.

What do I do? I want to tell him everything (we don't have any secrets from each other), but I don't want it to affect our married life... our extended family is also very important to us...

Thanks..

We have been ring shopping and she looks at advertisements and she consistantly points out ones that are $1500-2500. She has even made comments like it wouldn't bother her one bit if I bought it at a pawn shop! What should I do?

Here's the thing.. Her Mother has no respect for me or my Home.. Her mother is also only 10 years older than I and I 10 years older than my fiancee'. By this her mother thinks she can talk to me like a child , and curse me out and say disrespectful things to me and I not retalliate.
What I mean by that is that I have hung up on her mom in the past . I have asked her not to come over my home if she cant speak to me when entering my home. And I do not respect the fact that she tries to hook her daughter up with other men. Now her mom is only doing this because I am the first man ever to not care about her opinion and Per, My fiancee' the men in the past have done things to make her mother happy.. I say Bump that! So as a result her mother do not like me.. and I dont like her. She has done awfull things to my Fiancee that I know about and although that's her mom. I say feed her with a long handle spoon. And since shes not my mom I don have to be around her. My girl says im being mean.

my fiance and i are debating what to wear to our reception. we're getting married in vegas on the Dec 27th and returning to have our reception on the 30th.

in our wedding, we decided that i'm wearing a white formal evening gown (not a wedding dress, but one i can wear again) and he's wearing a charcoal colored suit.

we don't know whether to wear our wedding clothes, or me wear a cocktail dress and him a suit, or what we should wear.

help!

For women only, from a woman's perspective, I've heard that most women do not like kissing a man with a moustache. Is it so? If so, why? Is it because of the 'obstruction' from the moustache while kissing?
Prefer women to answer this one.

She cheated on me, divorced me. Now the affairs over she wants to see me again but she also wants to date other men. I want her back but I don't want to share her. I don't think that I can ever trust her again. Is it true what they say? "Once a cheatewr, always a cheater."

I'm 43 y.o. - married 19 yr- 5 awesome kids! My wife and I haven't had sex in 2 yr much resentment. Love is gone. I own a business make $500,000 + she's a homemaker. We own all the "good - material" things - large house, cars. I was brought up poor - could take it or leave it / she brought up with $$. She spends $ faster than I can keep up. She doesn't spend on herself but the house, kids, etc. Her whole life revolves around spending money and working around the house. I don't feel comfortable sitting down in my house because my wife wants me working when I'm home. She complains the kids overwhelm her although all are in school all day. I used to run around like a chicken w/o a head trying to do everything to pls her - nothing seemed good enough - I'm not a handyman but p/u, do dishes, clean and keep the kids away from her. She won't do counseling. I've stopped being helpfuI. can't live this way but want to be w/ my kids. wife also makes enemies & will make things nasty for me / kids

my boyfreind moved in with me because my rent went up and i couldn't afford it anymore. he offered to move in and help. not saying that he will pay half. which was fine at the time. But now we are having a baby and he doesn't pay half the rent. and i need him too because i feel we are now at a different level in our relationship. i pay more and he pays hardly anything. i've talked to him but he says that he needs to save money and it's not OUR place together it's my place. what should i do or say. i think he should pay half at this point, tell me if i'm wrong.

Mine is in her mid 40s and is about 3 to 4 stone overweight. She used to have a body to die for but kids etc have taken their toll. I don't expect her to be Kyliesque, but I do think she should have some self discipline, but she doesn't. She knows how I feel about this, but hasn't got the willpower to do anything about it. She reacts very angrily if I mention it, and won't talk about it.

Yesterday I decided to go to the Spa. I told my husband, who had the day off (Sunday), to do the following chores since the maid had the day off, due to her mother being ill.
1) Mop the floors
2) Load the dishes into the dishwasher
3) Do the laundry
4) Rake the leaves in the backyard
5) Feed the dogs, play with them, and take them out for a walk
6) Organize and clean out the Garage
7) Take the cars for a carwash.

He was only able to do 1-5! I was so angry when I got home and found the garage was still disorganized! I told him to straighten up his act! He just came home for lunch today and bought me a beautiful diamond bracelet and apologized. But THAT doesn't make up for him being lazy! What do you suggest?

my wife and I are living with my parents and my sister in their house (due to financial matters). My wife and my sister do not get along at all. My sister doesn't really talk to my wife...just barely. Anyway... I was chatting with my sister the other day...laughing about something... My wife heard us and was furious..."don't talk to her unless she respects me more!! She treats me like I don't exist"

How should I handle this situation?

im 15. i know its not that old but i think there is something wrong with me cause everytime a guy throws himself at me, i reject him because im to scared to have sex. (Because of the pain). My friends say it hurts and stuff and thats what got me a little scared. then i heard it really hurts. Which got me even more nervous of losing it. So basically im wondering if there is a way make me less nervous wen it finally comes down to losing my virginity?

I have been married for 7 years and I sometimes don't have sexual desires. Well, most of the time. I would rather do it by myself. Sometimes the thought of being with another person turns me off. It has really been a problem because my husband has a high sex drive. When I finally give in, I just want it to be over. Anyone else feel this way??

About 1 out of 3 times when my husband and I go out, which happens every 2-3 months if we're lucky. I get so sick from drinking that I am throwing up the next day.

I have 2-3 drinks but I never get a chance to eat before so I drink on an empty stomach. I don't have a chance to eat because I am running around getting everything ready for the babysitter and giving my kids a bath and dinner, etc.

I want to ask for help from an aunt or someone the next day but are too embarassed to say I am vomitting from drinking. Would you feel the same way too?

Ok I've known this woman for about two weeks now. Went out with her twice and talk with her every night on the phone. We seem to be getting along just fine- I even spent Thanksgiving evening at her parent's house for dessert. The only thing I find odd is that she won't tell me exactly where she lives or exactly where she works. She told me some things yet is keeping other things a secret. I know that she has been hurt in a past relationship and I was thinking that this is her way of keeping her defenses up until she knows me better but I wanted to see what some of you other guys & gals think??
