Ok I've known this woman for about two weeks now. Went out with her twice and talk with her every night on the phone. We seem to be getting along just fine- I even spent Thanksgiving evening at her parent's house for dessert. The only thing I find odd is that she won't tell me exactly where she lives or exactly where she works. She told me some things yet is keeping other things a secret. I know that she has been hurt in a past relationship and I was thinking that this is her way of keeping her defenses up until she knows me better but I wanted to see what some of you other guys & gals think??

It's been two weeks, what do you want, instant relationship? Have patience.

She's probably scared. She's probably being protective of herself. If you really like her then you should be patient. It might take a while for her to put her walls down. If and when she does take her walls down it might be slowly. I know this from personal experience. Don' t keep anything from her. Make sure that she feels safe and that you're not hiding anything. Just talk to her. The more frustrated that you get the more that she will pull away from you. It can get frustrating because you think that you do all of this and get nothing, she's not changing, she still won't talk....etc. Don't be pushy. If you really like her then it should be ok. Hopefully this will help you.

It is either because of her past like you said or she has had a stalker before so she is taking the appropriate actions. Just relax give it some time maybe a month and it she is still being this way ask her what is going on right now it is really not yours to worry about.

Either that or she's married and doesn't want you or her hubby to find out. OR she's a part of the CIA, or the FBI, or the IRS! heeheehee. :) don't mind me. I'm on a creative buzz. as everyone else is saying, take is slow. It's way new to be worried about this so soon. Trust her or the relationship is over way before it begins.

You've only known her two weeks? She's well in her rights to take things slow and not let you know too much about herself yet. Maybe she's dated a stalker who wouldn't stop waiting outside her house or workplace. Just give her time to learn to trust you and eventually she'll let you know more and more, I'm sure.

There is nothing wrong with being safe and protecting herself. Maybe she has children and just wants to ensure that men don't go in and out of their lives also. She can always tell you more about herself when she learns to trust you, but she can't take it all back if she makes a mistake and you turn out to be a creep.

She could have had some bad past experiences and is being cautious. For example, she may have had guys stalk her in the past, she might live with her parents and be ashamed of it,or she might be scared for u to show up at work and something might happen with her job.People's past experiences sometimes ruin it for the next nice guy who comes along.

It took me a month and a half to let him know where I lived and took 2 months for him to come in my house! It might be because my house got robbed a few years ago I have trust issuses!

maybe she is embarrassed of her house or her job. Or she wants to make sure things stay slow. Don't think too much into this already...it's only been a few weeks.

She's trying to decide if she can trust you with her safety. She doesn't want to have to deal with the possibility of you becoming a stalker.
