There never used to be a '' Well theres always divorce if we fall out'' attitude tho marriage.Do you think it's because divorce has become more acceptable and easy? Or are people just less tolerant with their parteners thesedays? Or anything else =]

My 18 year old little sister lives with me. Last night she left at 8pm with a boy she has only been talking to. Her first time out with him and she didn't come home. Nor did she call,.She said she called but there was no messages on my machine. When I woke up and realized she wasn't home I called her and then I called my dad. She doesn't pay rent or even for her own groceries. This past weekend she took money from my daughters piggey bank for her to get to work. She did pay it back but thats not the point. I have caught her lieing to our parents and now I really do feel like if I let her stay she is just going keep walking all over me. I let her come live with me so she can be independent but the person I see I don't like. I understand teenagers and the respect factor but waking up and thinking I would have to call my parents and tell them she is missing I just can't take. If there is a way I can get my point across with out kicking her out I will gladly try.

went on line to meet guys for an on-line relationship? I'm just curious of the who/what/and how because my signifcant other likes to but she won't talk about it. I busted her a couple times and I really don't care as long as she doesn't try to meet these guys. I tried to chat a couple times but I keep getting directed to pay site..it was actually quite humorous. How do women meet so many guys?

Naturally, you would hear the term full-figured as a means of discribing a person (especially women) of a fuller form. But in some very popular cases, you would hear people using the term fat or obese. Overweight has become a term of the past because if you are 1 pound over your idea weight, you are considered overweight. (Whatever you may even say!) Well, many men that I have came into contact with have said that I am pretty but, they do not seem to want to go beyond the "you are pretty stage." Why? I wish I knew. In most cases, those same men have tried to have sexual discussions with me. Basically, telling me that they are not looking for a relationship. Needless to say, I am looking for a long term relationship and I want more than what they want. Could it be that my expectations are too much or that I am full-figured and I am not worth marrying? Please give me some feedback so that I can observe my situation and do some changes. Might I add, I do work out often.

My parents are relatively well-to-do and I am the only daughter. They have not offered any financial assistance for the wedding and I don't expect them to. But my fiancé's parents have already offered $. I know that they are hard-working and have paid for their 4 daughter's weddings in recent years. I know they mean well, but I am embarrassed to take if my OWN parents don't even offer.

I told my fiancé that if my parents don't offer, then we're paying it all on our own. I guess I'm stubborn because I think the reason they offered is because their family so LARGE and they expect more guests and they just want to help.

My mom knows our financial situation, and I'm afraid that if she finds out we accepted help from his family...it might cause some major tension. But if I tell her, she will think I'm asking for $. My mom and I are on good terms, but don't have a close mother/daughter relationship.

Any ideas on how I can handle this situation?

When we ride together he pressures me to leave early without helping my family with clean-up and doesn't want to hang around to talk, etc. We now ride separately. Yet, he expects me to attend his family functions and act like part of the family, be happy and bubbly, and engaging, etc. I have become spiteful because I feel that he and my SD are being rude to my family. They leave, while my 2 kids and I stay to enjoy the family. I love his family and we all get along. However, I have gone to recent functions with his family and been very quiet and not very social. I'm not mean to them, but I really don't want to be there because he hasn't been fair. He claims he loves my family, but what's with the EAT and RUN! Very inconsiderate and I'm sick of it! I have a very close knit family and they always ask where my husband and SDaughter are. Might be a problem soon.

Ok, I posted a week ago, asking about my family and husband not getting along. Well, the thing is, my family only chooses to see/hear what he has done to me, and ignore what I've done to him. So, they don't like him. And he's hurt that I told them everything, one-sided. So, I'm in a pickle! I want them to see him the way I do now.
My sister is in a very important play at a community theater. I want to go, but my whole family is going to be there. I'm nervous that my family will be crappy toward my husband and that my husband will be uncomfortable.
Any ideas on what I can do to keep things smooth? I don't want a confrontation, but I don't want my husband to think that I don't respect him. AAA!

My crush used to be really loud and sometimes even obnoxious around me. He used to show off a lot and try to be really funny. After I went to his basketball game, he's gone really quiet around me. He's also starting to act shy. Today in the lunch line at school, he was behind me. His friends were pushing him toward me and he was smiling and telling them, "No, I don't like being up front!" I used to feel like he likes me, now I REALLY feel like he likes me. I think the only reason he hasn't asked me out yet is to see if I go to his next game. Does it sound like I'm right? Does it sound like he'll ask me out? Thanks.

I went to primary school with a girl called Lauren. We got on really well in primary school and were really close. We even managed to have a first kiss in the last year. Then we both moved on to go to the same high school but lost contact due to being split up into different classes. I hadn't talked to her since 4 years ago until last night on MSN we had a decent conversation. She then asked me to her 16th party next weekend. She has a boyfriend although when I asked her last night was she happy and did she think it would last, she said probably not. I really like her. Going to her party at her house gives me a decent opportunity to get talking with her. I think Lauren & I would be perfect together.... any ideas/advice on what i should do???

Im curious if its really true what people say the cons are to staying a virgin til marriage argument. One of those reasons is that the husband and wife will be curious about what else is out there, especially if they don't find their marriage sexually gratifying. Would this person cheat to find out? Would it thus be better to have had sex before?

Are you a virgin who regrets staying a virgin til marriage? Were you a virgin before marriage and don't regret it? Why don't you regret it or vice versa?

My dad's been verbally abusive for a long time, but it's mainly towards me and my mom. He always acts so charming around his friends and such, and treats me and my mom like dirt-- and we live 2 states away! You know what the bigger problem is: he doesn't even realize he's verbally abusive! I tried confronting my dad about this a few times, but he twists my words around and makes ME look like the mean child!
I know for a fact that-- behind my back-- he back-talks about me being a rotten, spoiled child, and I'm nothing like that!
I know my dad loves me, but just isn't an understanding person. You can lie or tell the truth to him, but it all comes out the same: badly. He's constantly on my case about my weight, what I wear, how smart I am, my makeup, my hair!-- it never ends, and I look just fine! My weight is fine, my clothes... ugh...
So...what should I do about him?

p.s.-- well, just a minor note: at some months, I would visit him... bad idea... treats me like crap!

He are I are 29, have been dating a year, and discussing long-term commitments. Up to now the relationship has been pure joy.

He is primarily interested in career pursuits that are very difficult to make money in (Kung-Fu, stand-up comedy), and that he does not seem to be interested in more education beyond his BA in Eastern religion.

I have had a sudden surge in confidence in my ability to achieve my dreams of getting a graduate degree (whereas I have felt I could not do it before).

On the other hand, my boyfriend is far more fiscally responsible and emotionally healthy than I have been in the past 10 years. He has an undergraduate degree while I have yet to get mine.

I am scared that I feel my academic-career ambitions are greater than his. Even though I have yet to accomplish mine, it seems difficult to do so without the support of someone who has similar ambitions.

Am I wrong to be dissatisfied with his ambitions considering he is still more accomplished than I am?

Met a guy 3 weeks ago. Great email and phone vibe. Had first date 10 days ago. So fun! Met for drinks after work. That led to dinner, which led to dessert at another restaurant. Great conversation, lots of flirting, laughing and fun. The evening ended the next morning waking up late at his place. Great chemistry. No awkwardness, good conversation next morning, Last Monday, I sent a friendly email saying hello. He responded quicly, and we bantered back and forth through Tuesday, during which we talked about our first date, I said I'd like to get together again, and he made references to a "next time". He sends the last email. No contact for 3 days. Then on Friday I email him that I'm going to a movie on Sunday afternoon and ask him to join me. He responds quickly thanking me for the invite, that sounds like fun, I'll call on Saturday if I can make it, I've had the flu since Tuesday. He never called. Is it time to throw in the towel?

Why do men want to share a woman? Especially my boyfriend? What is he and his mates getting out of having sex with me in front of each other?

When I ask them they say they really like me but then I think they dont listen to anything I say i.e using condoms!

Why does it not upset my b'friend to see men have sex with me? Why does he get off on it???

My mom hates my brother's girlfriend because her auntie is my dad's ex-wife.

She calls her ugly, rude and disrespectful names and I feel really bad. I mentioned it to her that regardless of how she feels him dating this girl, it isn't fair for her to call her names. And that in fact if she talks bad about his gf he will see the mom as a bad guy really. My mom got really defensive when i said that and could've got even a little upset with me.

What do I do? I don't want my mom to stress about it and create problems with my brother but I also want my brother to date whom ever makes him happy. Past is the past.

What do I do to help both sides?

Hi

I am new here I need honest advice , I have been married 15yrs, and while my husband was working out of town he meet this women in a bar--- while one thing led to another and he is involved with her. I was so stunned , I asked him why? He replied we have nothing in common, I do not like his friends, I spend too much money, He has not be happy in years.... Everyone we know can not beleive his excuses for what he has done. this girl only knew my husband 3 weeks and she decided to move in with him. Well it has been a hard 2 months---- Just recently my husband and I started talking ... My husband can not look me in the eye when we talk at times. I assume he is filled with guilt. He said he did not mean for this to happen, I am such a good person, and He loves me.

So he heard last week I was having health issues, so he came over-- I asked him how he was doing he said Im doing--- which gave me the impression life is not so grand with this women, I heard she is total

son was abused as a child - not by either my husband or I or his brother, (my brother) we reported it went to court pervert found not guilty due to my sons age and perverts money. Got counsiling for our family and him - moved away from the area -he seemed ok but now that hes in his 20's he cant forget or forgive -we are a reminder of all that happened to him - we have not had contact with My brother since he did this -infact for 15 years we have not been to any family functions where he will be . this includes all holidays - my family celebrates alone. our son has moved in with girlfriend said he didnt feel comfortable around us because just looking at us brings the past right in his face although we dont talk about what happened to him unless he brings it up.
Our family is falling apart because we love him but when he looks at us he is filled with hate for us because of what happened when he was young. My husband , I and 15 yr old son are broken hearted over his hatred.
