Met a guy 3 weeks ago. Great email and phone vibe. Had first date 10 days ago. So fun! Met for drinks after work. That led to dinner, which led to dessert at another restaurant. Great conversation, lots of flirting, laughing and fun. The evening ended the next morning waking up late at his place. Great chemistry. No awkwardness, good conversation next morning, Last Monday, I sent a friendly email saying hello. He responded quicly, and we bantered back and forth through Tuesday, during which we talked about our first date, I said I'd like to get together again, and he made references to a "next time". He sends the last email. No contact for 3 days. Then on Friday I email him that I'm going to a movie on Sunday afternoon and ask him to join me. He responds quickly thanking me for the invite, that sounds like fun, I'll call on Saturday if I can make it, I've had the flu since Tuesday. He never called. Is it time to throw in the towel?

Well if you had sex with him on the first date... then yeah give up. At this point he make take it as you are being to overbearing. Back off a couple of days and call him... nothing. Then give up and chalk it up to a learning lesson as to not sleep with a guy to soon.

Ummm. It's hard to know. I'd be inclined to give him another chance. If he continues to communicate with you intermittently, throw in the towel. I've found with guys that if they're interested, you'll hear from them soon enough. The ones that are only stringing you along, you'll only hear from them once a week if even that.

He could be telling the truth and he could also not be telling the truth. Only time will tell. In the mean time just remain faithful to him and if you notice similar behavior again and again then I think he's dropping a major hint.

Wait a while and then see if he was making an excuse or telling the truth. Good Luck.
