To meet new people? Meet up with friends? Both? If people use it just to talk to their friends, why do you need to tell them what you are like by filling in the about me section?

My boyfriend and I have been together for more then three years. We have a house together and we have a baby on the way. He has told be that he will marry me but i get the feeling that he is not going to. His family( including his mother) has said that he not he marrying type. That if has not already done it then he most like will not. I know that he feels safe because he knows how much I love him and that I want to be with him for the rest of our lives. He tells me that it because we do not have the money, but i think that he scared of marriage. He think that marriage is a wasted. Because more then half of the world is divorce. I told him that marriage for a women is knowing that your man loves you enough to marry you and be with you for the rest of you life. He says that he does that we just don't have the money right now. I just get the feeling that if it doesn't happen now that when the time comes it would be like we are already married. What should I do?

he stole over 1000 dollars from my parents. only he and I know. (i didn't have anything to do with it) I don't want to get him in trouble, and i'm sick of covering for his butt. he has over 300 dollars. i tell him countless times to pay by putting it in my mom's purse. and yet he doesn't. he stole it when he was 10 now he's 13. I hate him for this, and many things he's done to me before. he's also stolen 50 dollars from me too. I'm 15
what do i do?

Isn't it a lie, even manipulative, to pretend you strongly like someone before you've even met them....
...such as when you meet someone online and need to ask questions to pretend you're deeply interested just to keep the conversation going when you know it's not authentic.

(Stated another way, how do women expect to have relationships that really work when the premise of it isn't honest?)

My husband and I have been married 1 year. We are 12 weeks pregnant. I've been soo exhausted every night that i've been going to bed early i could sleep through a hurricane. My butt has been burning lately and I really didn't think much about it. Well last night i went to sleep and when i woke up my husband was having anal with me. I didn't say anything because i thought surely not but then he finished and got up and went downstairs. I got soo mad. When i confronted him about it. He said i led him on. I had been bugging him previously about having sex before i went to bed and he kept telling me no cause he had to get up in the morning. Then he said I'm overexgerrating. Worst of he said he thought i was awake. If he thought i was awake how come he didnt just move my underwear over? or say anything to me after we had had the sex? He said that he doesnt think it's a big deal. I really do and I don't know what to do about it. Am I just overreacting??

In a nutshell- my step-sister on my dads side molested me for 7 years. I finally told about 2 years ago and after a trial they put her on probation and told her she could not be within so many feet of me.
NOW- I work for my dad and while I was walking around the office she showed up.
Everything in my body froze up, and all the emotions that I'm really great at hiding all came bubbling out.
my dad was in a meeting...but even when he got out I tried to ask why she was here and he shooed me away.
what do I do?

Hes latin and im french his dad doesnt want him to do it. Also his roomate and friends think its a stupid idea and they make fun of him. I dont see anything wrong with it. OK- so there's this guy in school. He's a BIG flirt- and i've had a crush on him for two years. The problem? He's kind of a jerk. Yet he makes my life miserable because I really just only want him. No matter how much I tell myself he's awful, or that he's mean-I still want him. He's actually even now being mean to me. We have this English-project- and I told him he could be the Carpet-Maker, and he's like, "Oh no You're the Carpet-Muncher!" I'm dating this girl and i really like her. we've been dating for like a month and a half, but it feels longer since, i feel like its a very serious relationship.

my problem is, i think we may have gone a little to far. i mean, i really like her and everything, and i liked it, but idk maybe what we did was bad. no i didnt **** her but yesterday we were making out (which is fine) and she takes my phone and drops it down her shirt. i already told her if she did that i would go get it. so i did. and then i was feeling up on her. and i thought to myself, wow this is awsome, but maybe its like against everything i stand for. i'm a strong christian and dont believe in sex b4 marraige. did i do wrong?

Let's say there is a girl I like: Becky. She probably likes me back, according to 3 of my friends who understand dating and stuff.

I have a close friend, ashley. We are JUST close friends, she is 2 years older than me and very mature and I respect her very much.She's helped me through this Becky problem when I felt like ****...
Becky hasn't dated anyone for 2 months, the longest time she's been single since she started dating 2 yrs. ago. (we're sophomores).

Anyways, Becky was talking about how girls nowadays feel they NEED a boyfriend to feel good about themselves, and how she doesn't like that, and how shes practically the only girl she knows whos not like that. I said "no, wait, ashley's not like that either". I;ve mentioned ashley a few times, about how I greatly respect her, but only twice in the last month hav i talked about ashley. for 5 seconds each time.

After I said "ashleys like that too" she goes "why dont u just marry her?" in a sarcastic, brisque annoyed tone.

Shes going to a dress up party as a "sailor". the costume is basically a white mini skirt that pracically shows her butt, and the top is a button up shirt that shows A LOT of cleavage, and a little sailor hat. She says its cute but it looks so slutty. The party shes going to has alcohol, and no adult supervision (shes 16) and she plans on drinking and possibly getting drunk. I figure a drunk girl who is so scanalty clad around horny guys at a party will get taken advantage of or raped and she wont listen to me so I said ill tell her mom and she said she wants to leave me! I'm so worried about her weve been together 2 and a half years (i just turned 18) and i cant go to the party becasue of work. My now ex uses this term alot, most of the time when she has used it the answer has always been no. Now I've asked her if we can get back together, and yip...I got that line.."I'll consider it"
Thing is, she used it while we were together about what we were doing one weekend, Told me that she would think about, but had already told her girlfriend that she would do something with her.
Is "I'll consider it" just a way of avoiding answering the question?

Hi, i hope you can help me out here.

I was just wandering, from a woman's point of view, when you are friends with a guy and you mutually enjoy being around each other alot, what is the reason behind feeling betrayed or thinking less of the guy if he admits that he has deeper feelings for you than just friendship?

I admit if a guy is using a friendship as a hidden agenda to get with the girl then that is wrong but if the guy is a nice guy and even thinks the girl is attracted to him too, why would admitting you feel more than friendship for her is a way of letting her down?

Heres my story briefly. I met this girl at work (a colleague) and she started contact with me via email asking how i was getting on in my new job. From here, i was asked if i wanted lifts home and even was asked whether i wanted to go out for drinks with her. We went out together (as friends) and i was recieving signs that she liked me too. Actual signs, not signs i was misreading.

I'm just curious to see what people do to pick a date. My bf's sister picked 8-8-08, cuz it's cute. My parents did March 23, cuz 23 is my mom's favorite number.

I've heard of people using their birthdays to make a date - how is that done? I'm guessing it depends on when your birthdays are as to how you can combine them.

She's making a huge fuss over me not wanting to go to any of her family things. We had an agreement that she would go, but i wouldn't, because i don't care or want to know her family, i have told her a thousand times, i care about HER, not her family. We have gotten by like this for almost 5 years. But now, her cousin is getting married and she's really upset cause i won't go to the wedding with her. It makes me very uncomfortable and i feel like she just wants to show off 'the boyfriend' to everyone. She says it's important to her, but what about what's important to me? I've told her if she wants someone to be her escort to everywhere, she should get one, but it's not me, i just won't do it! I hate those things and she knows it. She tries to manipulate me saying that she has gone with me to my family things, but that's cause SHE wanted to, and even so, my family VERY rarely has a reunion. So, what can i say that makes her back off and leave me alone on this issue?

Agghh.. So, to start off, my boyfriend just broke up with me.. I had the intention of sort of crying.. and I did a little.. but. I don't know. I thought it would feel worse? It doesn't. We were together since the eighteenth of October. Annnddd... we never really talked. At first, yeah, phone calls everyday. But then he just... stopped?
The worst part is, he made his friend tell me that "It just wasn't gonna work out."
I think that's pretty low.. I at least expected him to tell me face to face. I could handle it. If I cried, damn right he should feel bad! If I didn't, oh well. Life goes on, I breathe and I hang out with other people, things happen. How do you feel about this situation?

We've been married for a year. Our son got really sick last year so we didnt have a Christmas. We've financially struggled ever since but still I managed to pull off a nice valentine's gift, father's day gift and I got nothing for either mother's day or my birthday. I hate this stupid texting crap. Ya its ok to say some short quik reminder or somthing, but people are getting nuts with this crap.The new phones were you can check your precious email.
Even though it seems that it brings more communication, I disagree. I think it is bringing us further in communicating. Becuase these people who do this are talking to someone in person then looking down at their stupid phone. It is disconecting and rude. I miss the ol'days of living life and communicating in person. The easy times.

Ok, so this is kind of involved but i will try to give the best nutshell version possible. So when my fiance and i got engaged my parents gave a 5,000.00 budget on our wedding...Thats awesome so we made everything work with the 5g and it would have been simple but nice. We showed my mom and dad what we had come up with and it wasnt good enough for them so, they gave us some ideas on different place and what not...we didnt like any of them but we went with a country club that they liked and now...all of our ideas are not being heard....they want it there way, which yes i understand...it's their money but at the same time they should listen to us being it is our wedding. Now they are saying (because of they way that they want it) we are over budget and we have to start paying for what we want because everything that they wanted pushed us over budget (again, everything that they wanted we hate) what the hell shoud we do to make our wedding the we want it...cuz as of now..i resent it?
