My now ex uses this term alot, most of the time when she has used it the answer has always been no. Now I've asked her if we can get back together, and yip...I got that line.."I'll consider it"
Thing is, she used it while we were together about what we were doing one weekend, Told me that she would think about, but had already told her girlfriend that she would do something with her.
Is "I'll consider it" just a way of avoiding answering the question?

yes she's avoiding. there is probably a part of you she misses but can't get over what happened. in this case i would consider it as a maybe. but don't get your hopes up too much because it can still mean no. if she does get back together with you, it won't be for a while and you would be best off not doing anything stupid that she'll find out about because that can influence her decision.

What it really means is....."your slip is showing". It means she has every bit of control over you and is enjoying it too much to give you a straightforward "no" for an answer. Ask her friends what it means. She's already laughed about it with them. Don't ask the guy she's having sex with now, though. She didn't tell him about your conversation because she may want to use the same line on him sometime.Geez, have you ever told a kid" we'll see"? Guess what? You're the kid now.

" I'll consider '', does not really give you an answer. So it could go either way. I take this term as a NO.

usually no, but maybe she really needs to weigh the options. some things can't be rushed.
