Ok, so here's the story. Last night my boyfriend's friend invited him to go to Quebec for new years, because the legal age there is 18 not 19 like here in Ontario. Me, being younger than him can't go obviously, so I got a little upset. I was upset for 2 reasons. The first of which was that last year he was passed out and we didn't get new years together and the second was that I didn't trust the guys that he was going with, knowing they would probably bring girls around back to the room, and if he's drunk how is he going to know what's gonna happen??

So his response is that I'm being selfish and jealous, and need to get over my insecurity problems and it isn't fair for him to have to stay just because I want him too...

But i mean isn't he supposed to want to spend new years with his girlfriend? I mean he says he wants to go for a change of scenery, but I hardly think I'm being the selfish one here!

What should I do!

I mean, it was sudden and random (and not in a romantic way), and I didn't really like the way his lips felt. And isn't it true that you can tell a lot about someone by how they physically express themselves? I don't like his hugs very much either. Bottom line: is it shallow to dump him because of this, or I am truly seeing a deeper part of him?

i went to a wedding saturday and the couple hired 2 profession photographers and they were there as planned but during the service we saw a man standing the middle of the aisle taking pictures wearing jeans, muddy workboots and a sweatshirt.turns out that he isnt a professional but he wants to be one day and he just showed up to take pictures to build his portfolio (without persmission) the priest kicked him out prior to the service but he came in anyway so he was escorted off the property afterwards but as we were leaving he was standing on the street taking pictures after we told him to leave...is there anything we can do about it? we want to have tresspassing charges brought against him but we also want him to destroy the pictures he took. we have his info cuz we got his liscense info cuz he doesnt have business cards...are we over reacting?

brides how would u have felt about this? is she justified in being upset?

We've been married for 5 years, living together 8 and knowing eachother 10 years. He cheated on me last year and since then, I just feel love has diminished and am not in love with him anymore. After much consideration, I decided it would be best for us to separate instead of living a life of hell and give him the opportunity to find a woman who will really love him and understand him for what he is.

Although I am sure about my feelings, is it normal to miss him, even though I know I don't love him?

He hasn't left yet, but I keep thinking about when I'll be on my own and keep wondering if it is normal to feel that way. I don't hate him, to the contrary, I do care about him but that does not mean I love him.

Oh God, it would be so much easier if I could just love him and get on with our lives. Its painful to see how it hurts him, but I do believe I am doing the best for both of us.

Like gravity i am drawn to you
Like a leaf falls to the ground
Like a blackhole i am lost in you
In a moment without sound
Like an ocean i drown in you
And sink further down in
Like the clouds above surround me
Like your arms hold me within

We have two major problems. The first is that he is an alcoholic and is abusive, verbally and physically when he drinks. The other is he tells me he really doesn't want kids, though he might change his mind in 5 years. We are both 28. I asked him to get professional help and he refuses, saying he will never stop drinking, but will try to be careful about how he treats me which is bull. But this kdi thing is even worse. A) I can not bring a child into this world to have an alocholic as a father and b) If he got help and then in five years decided that he absolutely didn't want them, then I am in my thirties and have to either start all over again or sacrifice my wants to keep him happy. He told me if I get pregnant, he will know I tricked him and leave me alone with the baby. What should I do? My family doesn't know about these problems by the way.

I am four weeks five days pregnant and my husband and I had an argument yesterday over something really stupid . Then this morning I didn't log out of my yahoo account wehn I cut the computer off so when he cut it on the question I asked yesterday came up and he read it and told me and that really made me mad. After reading the question he suggested we go to counseling and that I never say I’m sorry and I don't agree. I really feel numb and sad and I’m wondering if this will affect the baby should I just go around smiling all the time to have a happy baby especially since I am so early. I always believed that you can control your emotions but does being pregnant really mean you have no control? For some reason I can't get over the argument and I'm finding it hard to move on with my day.

My fiance almost seems like he has personality problems. One day he will be SO SWEET ............like he's is from a fairy tale and so romantic. But then he will act rude to me like he is annoyed by me even if I havent done anything-he will just look at me with this annoying look like he is unsure of me. Its so annoying! Sometimes he acts like he wants to cuddle and give me kisses and then the nest night he will act as if he wants his own space and so on. He is usually really sweet when he does something wrong (I assume to make up for his errors) and then it wears off slowly. He seems like he has to try hard to be what I want in man (which is just the basics of a good father/husband), I dont ask much. He says how much he loves me but his actions rarely follow up to what he says. I feel like I am so in love and want to marry him, but then I double think it due to his change in behaviors. He says its work & being tired but I am not sure. I kind of feel that I just security for him.

I know I do! :-)

A young couple (maybe late 20's?) moved into the house right across the road from us...

The BF (YES - they're not married!) works pretty strange hours, and gets home just as my husband leaves for work...

Ive caught him staring at me a few times, and the other day we even bumped in to eachother at the shopping centre... I EVEN NOTICED HIM LOOKING BACK AT ME OVER HIS SHOULDER! Woo Hoo!

Oh man, ladies - why the heck am I so 'aroused' by this guy? I dont even know his name, and besides that - Im married with a daughter...

Hes not even that attractive!

But still, I find myself peeking through our blinds every time I hear him come home from work...

And I might be wrong - but our house is always the first thing he looks at when he gets out of his car every day...

Can anyone explain this? Has anyone been in the same situation?

i want to start out by saying that my husband and i have a really great marriage. we love each other, we are committed to each other. things are good.
i am just experiencing a little speed bump and i'm not sure how to communicate to him what i need.....

without getting into too much detail, here's the situation.

there are times when things will weigh me down and i'll get upset. then, i try to tell him how i'm feeling, but instead of being receptive and caring, he'll try to make jokes and make light of the situation.
i realize it's a mechanism he uses b/c me being upset makes him uncomfortable and he doesn't know how to deal with it....
however, understanding that doesn't erase the fact that it stings when he does this....kind of makes me feel like he doesn't care when i get upset.

anyone ever have to overcome this with their spouse? how did you get them to turn off the humor and turn on the empathy?

This lady down the street from me (my sister considers her a sort of "grandmother/mother" to her) ... I believe this lady is 70? 71? Anyway, her daughter lives with her, and she cuts her grass. Daughter is 40, I believe. My Mom used to cut her and Dad's grass, but, she is now in a nursing home w/ Alzheimer's (advanced stages). She has not cut their grass this whole year, I have cut it. I don't mind! I love to do it! I love the exercise! Anyway, this "neighbor lady" down the street from us... says I should not cut it, says my dad should cut it himself! Keep in mind, he's 70, has diabetes, bladder cancer, and a couple of other minor problems... he also has a handicapped tag for the car! Her daughter cuts her grass, perhaps I should tell her to cut her own grass as well? Next time she says 'I should not cut my dad's grass'??? hmmm... what would YOU say? this is a lady you have to be very loud to... very firm...! Would you tell her off??? =) I'd like to! lol!

She is the loveliest person i've met, she and all her closest friends and parents knows that i like her, and they like me, but she is in a relationship with someone thats leaving her behind in 2 months to go back to his home country. She has told everyone that she is not happy, but she doesnt know how to leave him.

I on the other hand want to take her away from him, but its not my place to do so. There is so much chemistry between us, but she knows whats right and wrong and would never ever even think about cheating on him, even though she knows that its not working between them.

I know that if i try harder she will eventually come to me. But is that the right thing to do ?

My Question; What must i do ?

I like to playfight with my husband. Well sometimes he gets mad and will end it by hitting me too hard, on purpose. I know I probably shouldnt play with him like that, but I believe if he honestly loved me than he wouldnt hit back so hard, or try to hurt me on purpose. Ive never hurt him, plus Im about 125lbs and he is 200lbs.

I'm going to be 18 in three months and I don't know where to go. I have my grandpa's and then I have my boyfriends. With my grandpa he's involved in a church that I'm forced to be involved in. My boyfriend wants me to take care of his son and drop out of high school and become and instant house wife. Then there is my dad and him and I aren't talking right now but he said he would let me stay. I just want to finally find some stability in my life.

Some little girl about 10 yrs old (old enough to know better for sure) was in a big group, and I was handing all the kids a few pieces, well this girl REACHED INSIDE and grabbed a handful, so I snatched it back out of her hands and said "Don't be greedy you little b----" and all them kids just froze in their tracks. One of them's mom, I guess that one girl's, said "You should be ashamed" so I thought she was talking to that girl, and I said, "I know, I'm sure you brought her up better than that." And the mom said "I meant YOU." and then they all left. Can you believe she said that? Hateful mom that's just wrong. What would you have done?
