Regardless of what anyone says, it totally depends upon your state.

in the US, normally if there is no court ordered child support one is not obliged to pay it. Further, a case can usually be opened only while the child is still in their minority. If addressed legally, and the courts find that the father knew of the child but has been avoiding responsibility, they may order back child support since the child's birth. If they find no reasonable way that he might have known of the child, child support may be ordered only back dated to date of filing. This all varies by state and more exact circumstances, but I hope these guidelines help.

The back child support payments vary state to state in FL you can only go back two years.

Now how much you have to pay out, that is Federal. Call a family law attorney for further info or you local legal aide.

Guys who don't pay child support should be in jail!!!! No statute of limitations at all. It's for their children, not them. If you are going to have kids, then take responsibility for them!

It varies state by state. In a lot of states, there is no statute of limitations, in others it ranges from 10-20 years or 3-5 years after emancipation.

Some states require you to pay the arrears in child support and some do not. You have to look where you are at to find out. If she never ask for it then you have nothing to worry about. If she filed for it before the child is grown, then you may owe. The key her is her filing for it.

To my knowledge ther is NO sol on child support. You are not obligated as long as the courts never get involved, good louck with that. If she ever applies for welfare, food stamps, etc.. they will hunt you down. Expect no mercy, the courts hate dead beat dads, you are one rung up the ladder from pedophiles and just below smokers.

Don't piss her off if you wish to avoid cs. However, morally you should be apart of your childs life and give them your love. What kind of man are you? You have to live with yourself. PS - don't play if you aren't ready to pay.

If the child support is court ordered, you owe it.
If you know about a child that you fathered, it is your morally obligated to pay child support.
