I mean, it was sudden and random (and not in a romantic way), and I didn't really like the way his lips felt. And isn't it true that you can tell a lot about someone by how they physically express themselves? I don't like his hugs very much either. Bottom line: is it shallow to dump him because of this, or I am truly seeing a deeper part of him?

First kisses are never as good as the others; you're nervous, you're not ready, you don't know if the other person is going to like it, you're waiting for the right time which never comes...

Try it a few more times, and if there are no sparks, move on. It's not shallow if the chemistry isn't there

I don't know that I'd put much stock into expressions as being a way to tell about someone. Some people just aren't very expressive; they've just learned to shut that part off for whatever reason. I find this to be more true with men (men don't cry, etc.); it doesn't mean they don't care.

Realize that sometimes people are nervous on a first date or initial intimate contact. Unless you just don't connect well with him as a person and/or there's no spark/chemistry then I'd say give it a 2nd shot to make sure you're not tossing away something with potential.

Sometimes we know right away if someone is a person we want to get to know better...sometime's we're not really sure so it's worth taking another look at the situation.

Dump him... No point in keeping a bad kisser...and esp if you can't tolerate his hugs? I mean come on... He must be sloppy.. By time the guy learns how to keep at bat... you may not feel anything when he does kiss you or hug you right.

If you care about him - show him what you like. Don't give up on him, he can learn! Have fun teaching him!
