This statement like all generalizations is not true. Some can, however probably the majority can't.
The reason being, whether male or female we all change as we get older and have different interests, goals and outlooks toward life. We basically grow apart and suddenly find we have nothing in common with the person we used to be friends with. Sometimes it is also due to a clash between spouses that drives friends apart.

Like some girls cant be friends for life time, some boys also cant be friends for the life time. But it is not absolute.

I have had boys that have been my friend for a lifetime. Just don't cross the line with your male friends.

what I think it is partly insecurity, that even you like some other girl friend(not girlfriend) may leave his friendship as soon as you get into a Relationship with some guy.Try assuring your friend that this won't happen.

sure they can if you ask me it is girls that normally have the petty issues and take them personal.but if you explain what it is exactly that you asking then i will understand you better coz right now am taking this question on a general note

probably because when there young all they think about is girls.but as they grow older they find out that they really don't have that much in common and they find other people that they can relate to
