you CAN use your last name as a married couple if both agree, or use HYPHENATED last name, using BOTH of your last names; then you would be known as Mr and Mrs Smith-Jones.

If you both are willing and happy with the idea, then it's time to celebrate the fact that you have a GREAT husband to be, and your family needs to butt out. Otherwise, they'll think it's okay to interfere in everything, and that'll be really bad when the kids come along. I am happy for you and wish you the best with your fantastic man.

I think it is very cute and also very modern of you two to want to take your last name. Who cared what everyone else thinks, if both you and your man are down for him taking your last name then I think you should do it. I mean it is really only about you two in the end now isn't it?!?

if i was a guy i know i wouldn't want to take my wife's last name, its not exactly "manly" but if he decided thats what he wanted, and he seems to like it since its tatooed across his chest anyways, do it! Don't worry about what others say. congrats by the way!
