this is my friend. he's 20. he's in college. his dad's a preacher. both his parents are unbelievably strict! his parents have to know what he's doing the entire time, where he's at, who he's with, and has to call. He's going to go on a trip w/ catholics to San Francisco for a pro-life march. his dad don't want him to go cuz he doesn't want him to be influenced by the catholics. he says he's 20 and if he wants to be catholic he'll be catholic. (he's thinking of converting) His never had a "father." he had a pastor. they never once played catch or did anything together. his older brother did drugs cuz his druggie friends treated him better than his parents! Mike's 27, married w/ 3 kids now and doing well. he visits no more than twice a year. why? his parents still try and tell him what to do! My friend wasn't allowed to go to a concert w/ me because he couldn't miss youth group! we had already ordered the tickets! my parent found out I was going 2 the concert an hour before I left and

For the past 2 months I have suspected my mother of using cocaine. About a month ago I find a "coke bag" on the floor in my room, this prompted me to check her cell phone call log to see if she was calling an ex-friend of mine that is into cocaine and heroin. There were several incoming and outgoing calls to this person. I confronted her about this and she completely freaked out on me. She totally denied it and said that it was probably my "coke bag" and told me I am a horrible person. She also said a lot of other hurtful things. It really hurt my feelings, she made me seem like I'm the bad guy.

Tonight when I was going into the bathroom I found another "coke bag." This one was completely full. I know that it my mom's and I want to confront her about it, but I don't know how without her freaking out on me.

I love my ex very much, I'm clueless to why we even broke up. One day he wanted to play halo 3 instead of keeping his promise of spending time with me and got so mad that I was disappointed and he said "I don't think we should talk anymore" He has ignored me ever since I sent messages to him telling him how i love him more then anything in the world and he's hurting me really bad but he ignores it. Last week my cat of 9 yrs died and I usually go to him for comfort but again he completely ignores my message. I know he reads it though. He blocks me =( I was so in love with him he so it's so hard to let him go. I haven't sent him anything in a week but right now I'm getting the urge to but I know I can't cause he is emotionally abusive. He treats me like crap but I still love him. He use to tell me he loves me and wants to be with me forever but how can you ignore someone you loved for 2 years like this? I didn't even do anything! What can I do? =( I wish I had a good guy

We were both down when we met. Got her pregnant, she admitted that she did not love me then. Though she's saying that she loves me more now, I am still in doubt. by the way am making 6 digits bucks now per month and starting to noticed that she's a spender.

well im in college away from my girlfriend shes pretty good i but it doesnt seem like shes someone i could spend the rest of my life with.
but its odd that i have gone out with someone that seems like what im looking for but i just dont get the same feeling as i do with the girlfriend im with now.
do people really find what their looking for or do they just marry who ever is the best alternative?
for those of you that are married is your spouse what your looking for?
I'm in college now and i know this is where people usually find whom ever their looking for but im not the cheating type even though im far away should i look for someone else and lose this girl or is marriage about the next best thing?

Some background:

2 out of the 7 years you've been married (year 2 & 3 specifically) were 'pure hell' for your mate.

Though you loved him/her; had good intentions; shared many good times; great bond; & laughed a lot - you also treated your mate badly. You were easily upset at them, assumed the worst of them at every turn & were violent (threw stuff around, e.t.c.).

Fast forward to 7 years down the road (today) and everything is great. You two couldn't be more happy - it's almost pure bliss.

You have changed tremendously - you are considerate, loving, kind and feel guilty about the 'bad' times. You have set out to 'fix' as much of the harm done and appreciate their 'hanging in there'. Your hubby couldn't ask for a better relationship.

Today your hubby is asked if he/she went back in time with the knowledge of how things are and were, would they choose you again and they respond with: "No. I wouldn't go through year 2&3 again for anything!"

How would you feel and respond?

My mother recently got back together with my estranged father. He had an affair with some 20 year old something 7 years ago and after we found out he left us to go be with her. Now he's back and my mother has accepted him back into her life. She wants me to forgive him as well, I told her to go **** herself. Was I in my right to?

My ex gf n i had been on a break for a bout a week. It was a mutual breakup, we both took it hard, but remained good friends. I found out a week later she had made out with a girl. She admitted to this n said it was the only thing that happened that night. I accepted this. About a month later she told me that same night she made out with another girl. She blamed it on being drunk. This made me very mad because she had never lied to me before(or me to her). She would have destroyed me if she found out i made out with anyone after our breakup (which i have yet to do!) I dont think it matters if she made out with a guy or girl. Everything has been a one way street with her, i never get mad if she goes out or drinks, she bitches me out if i have 1 beer. Do i have a right to be mad? Should i even talk to her? I hoped to get back together with her one day but i dont know now.

Today, Halloween, we were supposed to go to the get-together in Hollywood Forever Cemetary. I was bumed out that she wanted to invite other people so but I didn't tell her, I should have. I guess I looked 'sad' so she asked me what was wrong. So after a while we got to the get-together and they were charging $10 a head. We didn't have money so she asked me If we should get money, and I said whatever with an attitude. She picked up on it and said to forget the whole thing. We were so hyped up but I ALWAYS mess things up. I'm not much of a 'going-out' type of guy. So later we got into an argument. I ruined Halloween for her. There is NO WAY I can make her accept my apology. She then told me that she has not had a good holiday ALL this year. I feel really REALLY bad. So I want to make it up to her. I want to make her a '12 days of Christmas' thing for her this year. I just have some ideas of what I give her to have a good holiday. Any ideas? Romantic dinner, movie?, etc. We're both 21.

...been together nearly one year, and he keeps telling me he needs more time to get things organized...I do believe him as he just recently bought a business and it has been a rough go of it starting out. Yet, how long must I wait, and how can I press him to "hurry-up"? Or what could I tell him to do for me as 'proof' of his intentions to committ? Help!

ill explain, I dated a girl from 16-21, we were truly in love & it ended pretty much cause of time & age, we just became different people & I needed to move on cause I didnt lover her anymore. It was true love, not the kind in the beginning where your really emotional & sex is great, etc.. the relationship went past that point at about the 2yr mark, started to dull & then I made a mental commitement to her cause I loved her & a different & deeper kind of emotion returned. Heres the thing, if we are all constantly changing throughout our lives, wouldnt this just repeat itself & the 2 people get tired of eachother or the relationship runs its course. Im not affraid of commitment, but it is a sad & scary reality if this is true. My question is this, I would like to hear from people who have been with theyre spouse or bf for a long time (5yrs plus), how does it work when you both keep changing & growing? Dont you find yourself wanting out of the relationship or no, please explain, thx.

deployed???

Ok. So, I want to know 1-what would your reaction be if obviously your wife got an expensive piece of exercise equip?(That I do use by the way and have lost 60lbs so far thanks to it)
2-Since I do use it regularly and have made a complete overhaul of my diet and physical routine shouldnt it be a good thing?
3-We arent hurting financially...what is eating away at my conscience is that I actually bought it without consulting him first. How could I apologize or should I apologize though if it has and is motivation enough to use the darn thing??

We are happy and love each other very much, he is so level headed and a really great man and I feel like the luckiest woman to be with him. So its not that i am worried he would go ballistic, I just have issues with guilt.

ok, so what would you do if your wife did this???

I'm in high school, and both my friend and I have decent grades (over 4.0). He shoves everything academically he beats me at in my face. Everything he loses at, he tries hard to avoid it in conversation with me. I try to not talk about school/grades at all with him; I just think it's pretty lame talking about just that all the time.

I kind of view myself as a chill person, and I'm seeing him as a guy desperate to get good grades and subtly assert dominance over others (so yeah, he usually beats me on scores by a little bit).

Normally I wouldn't care about this but in stressful times (life gives you crap sometimes), it REALLY gets on my nerves. If he wants to be better than me...sure, go ahead, no problem. But brag about every single thing, now that's really annoying.

This guy just can't be talked to in that buddy-to-buddy compromise type of way.

How do I deal with a guy like this?

It annoys the crap out of me. I tried to ignore it at first, because I understood how it could be helpful. However, today it went to the point of condescension. This is when I made him aware of how it pissed me off, and he acted apologetic. If this happens in the future, which it probably will, what shall I do to circumvent any confrontations? This person is normally very affable, other than this one quirk.
