Yes, but not an engagement ring; he gives you an engagement ring as a present. Then you and he decide on wedding bands. You buy his, he buys yours. That's how it's traditionally done.

Nope, just his wedding band. Some people do the his and her engagement rings, but I think it is kinda stupid to buy an engagement ring for a man.

No, tradition dictacts that a man buys a woman an engagement ring, but a woman does not buy a man one. If you want, you can, but you don't have to. In fact, men don't have to get their fiancees engagement rings either. Personally, I think it's a huge waste of money unless you're getting cubic zarconia.

No, not traditionally.
You buy the wedding band for the ceremony but not a male engagement ring.

not at all.
i once met a man who WANTED an engagement ring because his dad had one...
i thought... gay.
i felt bad that i didn't have anything to give my man when he proposed, even though i had no idea he was going to propose AND i knew the girl doesn't give the boy anything when they get engaged.. but i felt i wanted to give him something, so we went to a little shop and i bought him a GORGEOUS pair of wooden elephants. they stand proudly in our lounge room looking beautiful and in love.. we look at them and remember the day that we decided to get married...
i think it's beautiful.. so does he... but i don't tell anyone else that story when they comment on the elephants because it's "our" history.
xx
