Can someone tell me why parents are such strict-assed people?
I mean, come on, I don't drink, do drugs, or smoke.
So why can't I get a few new ear piercings?
It pisses me off that my mum doesn't trust me like she trusted my sisters.
All I'm asking for is an ear piercing, and my other sister had her navel pierced when she was my age without my dad's permission, and she didn't get in trouble!
So why is it that when I ask permission, explain exactly what I want, and why, they straight out say no?

my boyfriend just dumped me out of the blue. said he had found someone else - he had been seeing her behind my back, right under my nose and i didnt even realise! how could i be such an idiot to not have known!? now i really miss him. no matter what hes done to me i miss him cause i really did love him. does it ever stop hurting? and what can i do to get over him?

I met this guy about a month ago. He's 31, im 20. He is divorced with two kids. He's really sweet and from day one he was open and honest with me and he has not changed since. The divorce is truly not his fault he did the best he could but his ex-wife decided to be lesbian so they split. He has two beautiful children that he takes care of very well and they like me too! Now he's telling me he's really into me and we've gotten intimate but he treats me with the most respect and doesn't force me to do anything I dont want to. He's a complete woman pleaser and a one woman man. Should I take the chance and date him.

My husband was out of town. My stepdaughter, she's 14, hung out at the house and was going to be picked up after 8:00p.m. to stay the night at a friends house. I was out with my sister and not coming home until late. I ended up stopping at the house becuase her dad and I could not reach her. When I got to the house, she was not there and there wasn't a note left. I called her Dad becuase he was worried and said that I could not find her. I checked the caller ID and saw two numbers, one I recognized as the neighbors son. The other one I did not recognize. I gave the two numbers to my husband and said give them a call becuase maybe she is with the neighbor. Turns out she arranged to be P/U by a 16 year old boy alone(she has never dated). They went to the grocery store and the beach at night. Her dad said she was till able to stay the night with her friend and hang out tomorrow, just not go to the dance Saturday. Do you think that was fair punishment? Should it have been more or less?

when my parents brought my brother and me to this country 15 years ago we came here with nothing absolutely nothing. this one family helped us out they found a home for us and took us to a lot of places, my mom knew here in our home country and they have lived here for over 30 years. anyways today my dad is a doctor we haven't really kept in touch with them and havent' talked to them in like 5 years long story. today the son of that family comes over my dad's office from a car accident he got into with his wife his mother called my dad if he can come and my dad ssaid sure without even an appointment. he came and today that family is very wealthy they have a few jewelry stores. so my dad does a few xrays and so other stuff on the girl and him and for 15 minutes of work he offers my dad $300 and my dad doesn't take it. he says because they helped us out so much it's the least he could do. i would have taken it why didn't he take it? $300 in 15 minutes? that's a lot.

i'm a 15 year old guy from LA i have never really had a real girlfriend i feel so depress and alone i was abused at the age 4 or 5 not sure dont remember when it really started by my older male cousin i was sexually abuse! now that i'm older i feel so depress alone in this world i just want to die i hate every second of my life i think about dying everyday a day doesnt go by without me thinking about.i just really want someone to like for me i'm a good person damn it i deserve better! but now that i'm older i feel confuse by what i am straight gay bi because of my abusion as a small boy i feel like it was my fault. everyday of my life i feel regret and discussed with myself i feel hatered at myself and others i just want to be happy i see my friends having someone that cares for them and i feel jealous i have the urge to kill myself when i see them happy i have the image of stabbing myself i just feel hopless, alone, lost,and abused. this is the first time i told anyone about it.

My wife of 16 years was diagnosed with MS last year, now she's trying to drive me away. Says she doesn't love me and treats me like crap. I love her more than I can say, and I can't leave as I know how much help she'll need as she gets sicker. We also have a 11 year old, and I can't bear to subject her to a divorce. Do I hang on and keep eating crap with a smile, or let her go to maintain my own sanity??

My grandfather was in the military. my grandmother was from an upperclass family, and they hated my grandfather. My grandfather died in Vietnam. they hate me because I was named after my grand father. My father married my mother because he got her pregnant not because he loved her. Nobody loves me except my mom and dad and my mother's mom and my aunt on my mom's side. Why should I continue living? I know the only god there is is a god of suffering,pain ,apathy and death. He watches porn and when he's happy, he taps me on the butt even if I told him to stop..and when he gets angry, he mumbles and yells at me with cuss words and sometimes hit me..

My parents are angry with me because I have just finished getting my masters degree and am marrying a guy from Kentucky. I have been dating him for almost 6 years now so I would think that they might expect that we would eventually get married but when I told them they acted shocked and angry. They have never liked him because of where he is from and the fact that he doesn't "fit in" with my family (ie he likes to fish and hunt and he drives a pickup truck says things like 'y'all' and 'shee-ooot'). I can see how he is a bit on the "redneck side" compared to my family but still that's what I love about him and shouldn't it be my choice? My parents like to pretend that they are somehow above most people and it drives me crazy! It's gotten so bad that I dont even bring him around my family because I feel like he doesnt need to be put under a microscope! what should I do? I love my family dearly but at the same time I am going to marry my fiance!

Is it wrong that my daughters call my ex's girlfriend mommy???
My ex and i have been seperated for about 5yrs i am now happily married and my ex and i have a good relationship he has a great girlfirend (for once) i really hope she is the one for him. He's been with her for about 6mos but before her he's had a few other grilfriends he's lived with and my daughters have met. When i was single and dating i never brought guys around until i met my husband and knew he was the one. . .my girls love him but i dont allow them to call him dad because to me they only have one dad and that's my ex. My concern is what if this relationship doesn't work out and again someone else walks in to their life is he gonna allow them to call her mom too? I've told my ex this bothers me because he's in and out of relationships and moves too fast with he's girls and maybe if she was he's wife i wouldn't be so bothered. Am i just being a jealous mom or do i have a right to be mad?

We just recently discovered that he lost his virginity to this girl on their 1st date.. I am not comfortable with them being home alone when where out. He cant even watch his sister never mind possibly make his own. We/ve given him condoms and I am not naïve to the idea that he will be having sex but every time I step out I come home to them in their bedroom. I dont think he is mature enough. My husband seems proud of him. I am very angry. I dont know how to handle the situation? I have raised this boy, his mom died when he was young. My husband said he is going to do it anyway and its safer for him here. WHy cant he get a job and take this girl to a motel? I dont want to bend here, am I wrong

This is a lng 1 but I need serious advice.I am in a serious relationship of 3yrs we hav 1 child 2gether and Iam expecting #2, we agreed we weren't going to have frnds of the opposite sex, due to bad experiences in the pass.Nw this pass june he meets a cousin of his bst frnd, he was talking w her behind my back I found out he stopped talking to her.Its nw Oct he came 2 me and confessed that he had been emailing f frnds frm the pass and new on facebk, he then tld me he sent them emails letting them kno how he felt about talking to them after WE tld them it would be no more of that.BUT they are still on his frnds list and the grl frm June,is Now on his frnds list.He tld me he wnt delete them or the page.He is in school and wrks full-time.He regained access 2 his email when school started early sept.So that meant he added the grl frm June after the confrontation.I sumed it all up the best way I cld w the space given.Please snd advice.Thanks in advance!

Alright. I'm going to six flags tomorrow. Number one- this is the first time I will be going anywhere with girls from my school in my grade. I'm nervous about that alone. Number two ive never been on a rollercoaster or anything like that and i am EXTREMELY NERVOUS. Well i went on the octopus ride at my school picnic and whenever there is a drop or anything like that my stomach freaks out. I am so scared right now but i wanna go cause the girl i like is going. Any help or suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

i am the custodial parent but we have no legal papers about visitation...we were married for 13 years and divorced almost 4 years ago...he was remarried 3 years ago and his wife is crazy and now he wont have anything to do with his kids...i dont want my kids around this woman but i want them to see their dad...she is a whisky drunk and she has pulled a knife on their dad in front of them before...do you think a judge would make him have supervised visitation?i mean i want to like force him to be a part of his kids lives but without his wife around..my kids are so hurt because their dad wont even so much as call them..he use to be such a good dad till he met the drunk he is with now...what should i do..can a judge force him to see his kids without her around?i have plenty of proof and witnesses that she is unfit for any child to be around..i think their dad is afraid of her...she is crazy...any advise would be appreciated...
