Ability to accept each other for just the way you are, without desperate need to change them into something else... People rarely change anyway... There must be love and respect, honesty and a great friendship between you. You also need to want your relationship to work ( both of you need to feel that way ). Do not ever neglect your spouse and his feelings. Be able to put his needs before your own. Do not ever stop communicating : share all your feeling, needs and wants with each other. Make sure you grow on personal lever by supporting each other, so you can grow in the same direction. Good luck sweetheart!

Congratulations on being insanely happy, its nice to hear for a change! Aways be honest with each other, no mater how hard, that way if any of you are having a problem, you can talk about it. Make each other laugh. Always make time for each other and know how to handle a fight. Some people don't know how and when it happens, they fall apart. So never yell and scream, just resolve it as quick as you can and have great make up sex!!! Also never go to bed angry. I wish you all the best.

Some may say communication, some may say honesty, and some may say loyalty. My opinion? Laughter! I always try to keep my wife smiling and laughing. I tell her jokes at night, tell her funny stories, and I always try to brighten her day. Doing so makes her happy. And a happy wife = a happy husband. Besides, a happy wife is much more likely to do "fun" things if you know what I mean! Without laughter, nothing else really matters. Does it?

Married my wife in 1983. Still love her. I've always let her be herself, never tried to change her, never stopped her from expressing herself, always forgave her, always faithful to her. Be thoughtful. Never EVER call your spouse a name that you wouldn't call your boss to his face. Even when she's not there. Always demonstrate love, even in "loud discussions". Make up. Be someone you'd love to be with, even during the hard times. And always, always, bring God into those times when you feel like you haven't got a prayer.

Love, friendship, trust, no one controlling the other partner. Fun. My husband is my best friend and I can talk to him about anything and I am so grateful for that. If I need him, he is there for me and he is reliable too. I have been married for 22 years, been with my husband 26 and I am still crazy in love with him.

With our marriage we've had our downs, but overall we love each other and are very happy. I think havin God in your lives and marriage, trust, honesty, and love makes the best marriage. Without these I don't think it would be a happy marriage.

Honesty, and respect, and realizing that your relationship and bond will change with time. What you feel now will change, and there are good times, and bad times. Coming to terms with that will go a long way to helping you and your spouse have a healthy, lasting union.

COMPROMISE, even if your right, your still sometimes wrong.
HONESTY,,,if your guilty of something you can still be found innocent if your honest
TRUST,,,no questions or demands that are 'unjust' which is just about all of them, and never ask a question you really don't want a answer to.
FRIENDSHIP,,,your spouse should be your very best friend
NO SECRETS,,,,secrets, even minor ones breaks down trust.
SPACE....everyone needs some.

Good Luck.

Communication and compromise. Sometimes he gets to pick the movie, sometimes you get the remote. The little things eventually build up and are remembered forever.
