Can someone tell me why parents are such strict-assed people?
I mean, come on, I don't drink, do drugs, or smoke.
So why can't I get a few new ear piercings?
It pisses me off that my mum doesn't trust me like she trusted my sisters.
All I'm asking for is an ear piercing, and my other sister had her navel pierced when she was my age without my dad's permission, and she didn't get in trouble!
So why is it that when I ask permission, explain exactly what I want, and why, they straight out say no?

Unfortantely in life you don't always get what you want, especially living under your parentals roof. Just gotta be thankful for what you do get.

I have strict parents too, and i get SO angry when my older brother gets to do other stuff when we're not even that big of an age gap apart. I guess the answer is, when you first have a child... everything is new and you don't quite know how to cope with things, but along the way as you have more children you learn from your previous children what you should do better on. Confront your parents and ask why you can't when your sister could, and see what you have to do to get what you want. Whether it's pitching in an extra hand or just waiting an extra year.

You need to understand that a possible outcome of asking permission, is hearing the answer NO!

Now to your credit, you do understand that when you are told no by your parents that you don't just go ahead and do what you want anyway. You DO understand that don't you?

Of course you do!

So now you can demonstrate to your parents that you have made the next connection to maturity by accepting their answer of NO, and moving on.

Once you reach adulthood you will be able to get all of the piercings that your body could possibly hold, & you won't need to ask permission from ANYONE!
The good news is that there will still be more days left in your life than there will be places to have pierced, so what's the rush?

You're time will come when you are on your own sooner than you think, so be patient man.

Get a job after school so you can pay for your own piercings.

MAYBE YOUR PARENTS LEARNED FROM THE MISTAKES THEY MADE WITH YOUR OLDER SIBLINGS, AND ARE TRYING TO CORRECT THEM WITH YOU. AS HARD AS IT IS TO BELIEVE YOUR PARENTS ARE TRYING TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND BEST FOR YOU, EVEN IF IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE. TRY TO BELIEVE IN THEM. PARENTS MAKE MISTAKES TOO AND SOMETIMES HAVE TO TRY A COUPLE OF TIMES BEFORE GETTING IT RIGHT.
