I think a lot of men are unhappy with their marriage. Especially after 10 years. They don't leave because the alternative is living in a 1 BR apartment (not nearly as nice as their current 4 BR Colonial), not seeing their kids, complete financial ruin, and "starting over" is far more painful than living an unhappy yet stable life. If a man had assurances the "new" life was as good or better than his current life well....adios. Ask your self this: if you met your spouse today for the very first time would you still marry her? Taking into account interests, personality, ambitions, etc. My answer is a resounding no. What to do?

Hello everyone..I posted question regarding my problem yesterday.Thank you for the feedback.I want to move on but it's so hard and painful. If i try to win her back which is what i'm doing right now it is still a painful process.I love her so much.I really don't know what to do.I have prayed to god but i don't know all this sign is telling me to give up or try harder. For now i'm still trying to win her back.Hopefully even if my family is againts it but at least she know that my two sister do like her and welcome her to be in the family. All i know now is she still confuse to stay on with me or to follow her family choice. Both parents are persistent on not wanting us to be together. On my side it's my father and on her side it's her mother.I wish i know how to convince her to be strong and go through this rough time together with me.Any feedback would be deeply appreciated.

I have known my bf for 1.5years. After eight month I started to feel we are not made for each others.l He has all the qualities I want in a guy but at most of times I don't feel connected to him at all ad ask myself why am i with him. After 1 year in the relationship when things were thrifing anyway. I got to know this guy and we became friends. He just got out of bad relationship of 3 years and his gf left him. With time we came close and felt connected but he was afraid to have a relationship and kept changing his mind and in process I was hurt now he is back and want to be in serious relationship. I about to marry my ex bf even through no date fixed but we talking about it this year. I don't know what to do? I have known other guy for about 7 or 8 months but we never met in person. No he is not some crazy guy out there before you say that.

My bf is quitting smoking, and the last two weeks he's been kind of grumpy. He's not been calling me first and never really ever txt's me. I don't do it overly much to him but I'm tired of feeling like I always have to initiate. When I brought it up last night (after he txt saying that he'd call me after dinner, and it had been 4 hours since he had dinner when I called and he didn't call) he said he just hates phones, hates them with a passion. The thing is we have a long distance relationship, and a phone is important. So basically what I'm wondering is if a guy says I HATE PHONES (I know it means probably exactly that) but if he says he loves you and that you're the one for him, shouldn't he put his hatred for phones aside and make an initiative to CALL his gf???

my girlfriend broke up with me for another guy i am still in high school im 17 and we have our homecoming dance coming up this saturday. He knew b/f goes to a different school so she has to fill out paper work in order to bring him. i dont want him to be there b/c of what has happened it has really pissed me off and it is my school homecoming im a senior and she is a sophmore i dont want this last homecoming to be ruined b/c of the two of them. i could tell her not to bring him and she would listen to me but it would also ruin our friendship. she also has not been able to turn in the paper work yet so i could take the paperwork from her and she would not be able to get a new copy before the dance so she wouldnt be able to bring him. would that be an alright thing to do?

me and my ex started dating in feb. we were really close and practically living together from the start. after about a month of that final exams came around and we were both stressed and started having some arguments about time and priorities. that led to us breaking up several times (he broke up with me but he always came back 2 days later asking to get back together). then we were together all summer, but it was a long distance relationship from may-august. but he was really affectionate and nice and we saw each other a couple times(but we talked on the phone almost everyday). then when we were living in the same city again (in sept) he seemed really distant and then he broke up with me a few days after i got back saying that he had gotten used to being alone over the summer and that he didn't want a relationship right now and that he just wasn't feeling it anymore. what's happened and is there any chance of getting him back? also, he'll barely talk to me anymore.

I met this guy, and we've been dating a 2 months.

I've already met his parents several times, but he's invited me to a family dinner this weeked (his cousins are in from Europe). It's at his grandmom's house and she is doing all the cooking (appatizers thru dessert).

He insists I shouldn't bring anything, but what does ettiquette call for? I brought flowers and dessert for his mom before, but should i get something for the extended family? I don't want to insult anyone, but I don't want to look rude either! >_<

I was told my whole life that there is someone out there for everyone. Is it just 1 person out there and you just have to find them or what do you guys think? Is there really only 1 person out there for you?

I am currently married to a wonderful man. I love him and he loves me. We get along well....EXCEPT for when it comes to his children. He has 3 children and I have 2. His children have always had behavioral problems. They visit therapists weekly and we are working with them as much as we can. However, two of the three are simply out of control. His daughter is completely disrespectful to me, and his son has fits of rage. I need to add that the "mother" is in and out of the picture. She visits with her children only when it is convenient for her. This seems to contribute to the childrens behavior problems. The problem is...I simply can't stand his kids. I have tried and tried to treat them like my own, but I always end up frustrated and feeling horrible about the way I feel for them. Lately the problems at home have gotten so bad, I don't even want to go home. What can I do? I hate feeling the way I do, but I don't know how to change it. Am I headed for divorce?

I broke up with my bf 3 months ago because he's an alcoholic and other issues. We are both 36. I've been checking his myspace page out and I'm still friends with his friends. I can see that he's still on his downward spiral. His quote is about drinking so much liquor to a point to feel no feelings anymore. His newest pics show him drunk on a camping trip (he even put that in his caption) and with drinks in hand on a recent trip to Mexico. He's made a new "friend" who is 28 and also looks to be a drunk (every pic of her she has a drink in her hand or cases of beer stacked up)

I left him. Why do I still care for him and his well being? I know this is his problem, not mine. Yes, I know I shouldn't look at his myspace page. His friends are heavy drinkers too. They enable each other. Why do I care? I know his drinking is going to kill him soon enough.

Its not me, its my fiancee. She seems so uninterested. Like she doesnt want to experiment. She doesnt say no when i try things, but she never initiates. She says everything is ok, and she likes it. I try to please her in that way. You know, by "going down". Hoping she would take the hint. But none the less, no go. She also says, since that our realtionship means so much to her(and it does to me too) that its harder for her. What does that mean? I dont know what to do. I love her to death and would do anything for her.

For example.
Today i was at the gas station cleaning my car with the windshield thing before i was going to drive through the car wash. A cute guy started talking to me. I talked back: we were both laughing. Now... since he started the conversation he wouldn't know if i was interested.

Does this mean next time if a guy starts chatting me up and I am interested I should make an initiation to say, Hi I'm (my name). therefore he would know and have a chance to ask my number?
Thanks a million.
I need to know how to handle this in the future.
