a friend is going to Vegas and is wondering whether it would be proper ethiquet to ask the girls to pay for their hotel rooms. They will all be driving from LA to Vegas already, so would asking them to help pay be too much, or would it be appropriate since they are already doing her the honor and joining her for such a joyous event? please advice . Thank you all in advance.

My boyfriend gets really stressed out and distant this time of year. He works several jobs…2 of which start back up in the fall. He is a loving boyfriend, perfect in a lot of ways but tends to be distant and wants to go out and drink a lot this time of year. I don’t know how to deal with this huge transition…I am usually feeling upset, lonely and neglected and I don’t want to treat him like that…what do I do!

i have read on here that it is bad ediquet (sp?) to put in invitations where you are registered, but i registered at Macy's and they sent me a packet with little cards to put in the invitations to let people know I am registered there. Why would they do that if it is known not to do that? should I use them?

It's like I look at the future and can't see anything worthwhile. I will just start crying at random times of the day. It's because I think my boyfriend doesn't love me anymore, which is silly, but my heart is truly broken in pieces.
I know I can't go cry by myself b/c it makes it worse, and I can't put on a happy face and go out in public.
I feel like I have no hope and no one really cares.

so my mom is paying for the wedding, and she has said that she doesnt want "children" there because i have a few cousins. but my fiance has a small family and his 2 cousins are the only people we know young enough to be the ring bearer and flower girl.
i kinda had a falling out with my dads side of the family when they got divorced, i was just kinda lost to them since we lived far away, but a few months back i was invited to a surprise party for my grandfather and most of my cousins were there. and we all got along really well. we cought up talked about life and i felt like i really reconnected with them. my mom says if i one of them, then i have to do all of them. i dont feel like thats true. i'm really close now to my dads brothers 3 girls, but i havent seen his sisters daughter in well over 10 years so i wouldnt invite her anyways.
ettiquite wise, would it be ok to invite some cousins and not others, even if i invite all the parents? some live at home with the parents...

She has always been a very negative person. In one instant, we (my sister and I) could be her reason to live and the other the reason for her misery. But now, we are the reason for all her unhapiness. Every time I see her, she tells me she spent 1 year in therapy because of us. She also mentionned that she didn't want us to have kids because raising children was the worst experience of her life and she wanted the results of her relationship with my father to die with us. It is difficult to take because by sister just had a baby and I am in fertility treatment (a thing I haven't told her). Our childhood was difficult. She seemed to be living in her dreams. She would wash the dishes when there was mold on it and do the laundry when there was no clean clothes. Meals were usually canned food or fast food. She said several time that her therapist told her to stop seeing us because we made her unhappy. I know it is not easy raising teenagers but I feel her reation is too extreme.

For example. Couple A and Couple B are married. Male from couple A meets female from Couple B. They hit it off and decide to leave their spouses so they can be together as Couple C. Common? Succesful? What if they were both married the first time just loving the person they married but not IN LOVE with their partners? Thanks!

Been seeing someone for a while, not that long really. I got to know him through my firend (it's her brother) and he is 23. I am 35 will 3 older children. We went on some really nice dates but after the last one he bombarded me with texts teliing me he loved me etc etc. It all seems a bit quick and I could understand if I had known him for ages before dating but I didn't. He is acting really clingy and calling all day when I am at college even though my phone is off. He says he wouldn't know what to do without me and things that I might only say after seeing someone for a long time. He calls every evening now before I go to bed even if I have seen him in the evening. We end up on the phone for ages and I can't get away. This is doing my head in and I'm tired for college in the morning. I tried telling him but he went a bit funny with me for a bit then it's gone back to this. I seriously cannot deal with this in a long term relationship, it's a bit like having another kid! What do I do?

My daughter keeps blaming me for her not getting good grades or being prepared for tests. She is 15 and in 11th grade. Her GPA is about 2.9.

She lived with her father from age 10 to 15. She just came to live with me in another state and has had to adjust to a new school, etc.

She keeps saying to me "Thanks for making me fail." I do help her study and make tests/ quizzes for her and ask her questions from her school subjects.

I don't know how responsible I am though for her grades. I am trying my best, but I am only one person. I know that if my ex-husband was with me, he would blame for all of her failures.

My daughter keeps saying, "I am going to fail" and I don't know how to react to this.

My 15 year old daughter just came to live with me. She was living with her father from age 10 to 15.

She routinely throws a tantrum for waking up in the morning. She asks me to wake her up at a certain time. I set an alarm for her and then consistently try to wake her up. She does not wake up.

She then gets up late and does not eat breakfast or throws a fit at the breakfast table and makes a mess. She constantly says that she will fail her exams. I help her study, but she needs more help according to her.

She finally gets to school late and cries during her shower and before that refuses to even get up and take a shower.

I have to beg her to get up and get ready for school. She says that she hates living with me and the school.

She makes my clothes messy and the place that we live - spilling cereal everywhere.....

I don't know how to handle her. When I leave her alone to study, she watches TV or talks on the phone.

I try to help her and get her up...

My bf and I have been going back and forth over this. He is the groomsmen for one of his best friend's wedding, and I've gotten quite close to both the groom and bride. I've also been getting into scrapbooking lately, and would love to scrapbook a page for them and frame it. It would be on 12x12 paper and in a special scrapbooking frame. I think we will probably pair it with another gift, perhaps off the registry, but I think it would be enough on its own. My bf thinks not, because he says the gift should be as much as our dinner at the wedding, but I think with the time I would take to make the gift, as well as the cost of the materials, (which can get pretty pricey!!) as well as the special handmade factor, it would be even. What do you think?

I'm 19 years old, and I have been friends with this girl who I like A LOT but she just likes me as a friend. I'm not bad looking, but she and I have a lot of different opinions about things. Another thing that I think is ruining my chances is that she views me as a Really quiet nice guy. She said today that I was way too shy and she dosen't like shy people because she likes to have feedback on what she says. It bugs me because she has seen my crazy fun talkative side and yet she still thinks I'm too shy and she makes me feel like I'm boring because of this. Whenever I am outgoing I don't think she takes me seriously because she might think I'm trying to impress her. How can I go about being the fun crazy guy that I am without being annoying? I really like this girl and we have been friends for about a year and we have a lot good crazy memories. Serious answers only please

thanks
