My boyfriend and I have known each other for 8 years, I recently got a divorce last year, he is still going through the legalities of his. As couples, we used to hang out together but our spouses felt our attraction for one another so that caused problems. We started having an affair last year which resulted in both of our divorces. His is MUCH more complicated than mine and taking a lot longer. We both love each other very much and it is much more than a sexual thing. We have the most amazing connection I have ever seen in couples and everyone else thinks so as well. Contrary to what the books and counselors say, can the first relationship after a divorce really last, even when the divorce isn't finalized, or are we doomed for failure? When you have that connection with someone is it still necessary to wait a year after the divorce is finalized?

Okay I'll try to make this short-- I was at a dance last weekend and I met this guy, he asked me to dance a couple of times [fast & slow] and then when I was leaving he asked for my number. Now heres where i sound like a nerd... guys dont usually like me and nobodies ever asked for my number before, I've never even been on a date... so yesterday he called but I was at dance so he left a message saying he was wondering if I would want to hang out with him this weekend and if so to call him back. My friend says not to do it cuz hes geeky looking but Idc about looks i only care about personality, and idk if he meant like a date or with a bunch of people but I dont know if i wanna ask him cuz then it puts him on the spot, I would def. wanna hang out with him though... so please help? any tips? where should we hang out? do you think he meant like a date or with a group?

I don't know what to do about the kids. Right now, my daughter & I are with my parents, and he won't let me take my son. He wants to spit the children up and I feel like right now is when they really need eachother. I have been the primary care provider for 4 years now. I just recently quit my job and I have no car. He was abusive to me in the past but there's no way to prove it now cause I didn't make a report. I cheated on him and that's one of the reasons why we're spitting up. would he be able to use the cheating against me? would I be able to get custody of my children without a job or car? How much wuold a lawyer cost?

I have found out that im six weeks pregnant and am not sure what to do. My boyfriend who i have been with for four years doesnt like the idea of starting a family as we havent got a house. We have booked to go travelling in April and was meant to be going for a year.

He says he doesn't think he's ready and he thinks having a baby should be planned. He doesnt want to miss out on doing things in his life.

A big part of me wants to keep the baby and use the tickets for travelling to go on a 3 week holiday before i have the baby. I havent been able to talk to my parents about this, im 21 years old and he's 24. We both have fairly good jobs.

I dont know what to do.........as i dont want to be the one to ruin his life

My husband is constantly making profiles on dating websites as a single man...he says that it is just for fun and it doesnt mean anything but something about it feels wrong. he swears he isn't cheating, and at some level I believe him but then on the other hand I don't... I have been cheated on before by other men and I don't know if I trust my judgement anyumore!!! should I worry, is it normal for men to do this "just for fun" or should I really be worried?

"I've paid the bills/ Taken care of the kids/ You've been out drinking/ Now we're on the skids." 'Have a nice life without me.' When it is an event worth sharing, it is truly a Hallmark moment.

My wife and I have been married for a little under 2 years. I'm very frustrated with our sex life and she's aware of it but doesn't do anything to spice it up. We do it about once a week, maybe 2 if I'm lucky. It's the same ol' routine. It gets to a point where it's not as exciting doing it with her as it was. Sex is great in general but I don't feel what I should between us. Also, me making advances doesn't work at all. I go to hug her, kiss her, touch her sexually, and she does nothing about it. I go to kiss her sexually, and that lasts all of 5 seconds. And when we do have sex, the foreplay is almost non-existent. Sex shouldn't be everything in a relationship but it's very frustrating for me being married to her and not being able to do it often. I know it's not going to get better from here on out. Am I to stay with her when I know we'll pretty much have a non-existent sex life? There are other problem areas but a lack of sex or just physical activity seems to be the big one to me

When I am upset because of something my husband has done, I want to talk about it. Usually he doesn't think he has done anything wrong so he doesn't want to talk about it. This infuriates me. It ruins every day for me and eventually I end up apoligizing so things will be better. What do I do? It doesn' t happen all the time, but when it does, it takes me like a week to recover.

When we hit upon certain subjects, my boyfriend clams up. He simply refuses to talk. I have no idea why simply discussing something is so difficult for him. If I press the issue, he tells me to 'drop it,' and if I press again, he gets angry.

IT'S JUST TALKING. Why is that so threatening to him? It frustrates me to no end that I have to censor myself because there are certain things he simply will not discuss, and I never find out what those things are until I ask about them.

What are the touchy subjects, you ask? Past conflicts that we've had, his ex-girlfriend, and the one time I heard him say the word 'marriage' when speaking about our relationship.

My boyfriend just found out he has maybe a month or so to live from cancer.. we've been together almost 3 years and we know we were meant for eachother. After I found out he was going to die my mom's friend said we should get married, and so did my sister's friend. We want to go to Tahiti or somewhere (where's the best island?) but marriage never came across our vocabulary. Should I propose to him or ask him or talk to him about it or what? Everyone in my family seems to agree that it's a good idea but i havent talked to him about it at all. What should I do?

I have been having an affair with a guy for three years (I'm married). He has always been the one to want to break it off and remain friends....and then always the one who wants to start things up again. He loves me and I love him also....what does this all mean. Does he really care, or is it that he can't live without me?

I recently moved in with my fiance. Things seem to be doing great, except for one thing. He works but his job isn't steady some weeks it is busy and some time it seems slow. Well of course that affects the paycheck. I moved an hour and a half away to be with him. However, we agreed I would drive back and forth to my job (an hour and a half each way) for a few weeks until he can find something more steady. I've tried to be really understanding and considerate. He recently got A+ certified hoping that would make job hunting a bit easier. It has been almost 3 weeks and he has only filled out one application. I love him and care about him but I'm getting tired of the drive and I feel like he's letting me down. He says I'm depending on him and that I'm not looking for a job. What he doesn't seem to understand is with me working here at least I do bring home a paycheck. Anything beats nothing. The agreement was when he found something better, then I would quit and begin looking....

She keeps hugging me everytime we meet, laughs at everything I say, bumps into me almost everyday and grabs my arm with every occasion she gets. She's constantly smiling and her eyes follow me until I disappear around the corner. What does this mean? Does she like me?

Anyway, yesterday she asked me to come over at her place and help her with some of her Maths problems but I know that she was always great at maths. Why would she say that? And why didn't she ask some of the students from her class to help her? I'm so confused...

My daughter's father is manipulating my child by talking negatively about me and grandparents. How do I keep her from believing him? I shield her from the upset he causes us. Don't talk about him negatively. I can see a change in her attitude towards me and grandparents when she comes home for his parenting time.

Ok. once Your partner cheat, it's over right? Things will never be the same. You can't expect a "counselor" to help because the fact that they cheated is still there. It's just nasty. Why would you waist your time trying to fix something that will be broken forever? If your partner thought that your relationship was worth fixin" they wouldn't of stepped out on you to begin with. Total disrespect.
