I've just moved in with my boyfriend, which is fantastic by the way, the problem is that i've moved from Glasgow to Oxford, distance being about 400miles. so all my real good friends are miles away. The next major problem is that my boyfriend leaves for work about 5am and gets back bout 3 or 4pm, which is when i leave for work.

Dont get me wrong, its much better than before because when i was living in scotland the whole long distance thing wasnt really working. but now i'm lonely as hell, spend the whole day on my own and dont see very many people... i dunno what to do bout it... any ideas??

I'm scared about how I'll afford to live on my own with 2 little kids. We've separated before, but at the time only had 1 child and we both barely could make it, it seems. We live in the state of WI, although he'll be living in IL. The most I could make at a job is $12 an hour and yet we'd have to pay for childcare for 2 kids and we have so much debt (at least $45K).

Is there any hope that I can do this? When we separated last time, I was goign to be living in IL and by the state of IL with his childsupport & 1/2 the daycare costs, I wouldn't be able to get state help. I don't know if WI would be different, doubt it, but I'm having a hard time finding anything on google for some reason.

Do you have any resources I can check out or any encouraging advice?

I want to end this marriage but yet in some ways I feel stuck because I don't think we'd be able to afford separating...

We've been together for 4 years. And I'm 22. He's 23. Also, when I said we might get married, he said: "Yeah, I've thought about it a few times." And then when I didn't say anything back, he was like: "Okay, so I guess you don't have anything to say about that, *chuckles*." So I was like "what do you want me to say?" He says: "Nothing."

Anyways, I feel like this is a really big step. And it's weird, because before, all I ever wanted was for him to step up and take it to that "next level." But now that he actually has, I have cold feet. He even asked if he should put my name on the lease while he's looking. Of course, I said "no" to that, but...still. There may be a proposal looming in the near future, and I'm not sure what to think about that. I mean, I'm really excited, and all, but...is moving in with him really such a good decision? On one hand, I'm excited about it, but on the other, I can see my future as a separate person washing away...what should I do?

I am a 32 year old mother my daughter has started high school this year and I think she has been smoking since she smells like smoke all the time and shes been acting differently. I do not want her to get into this kinda trouble. She is underage but how does she get the smokes? What should I do?

my sister is about to turn 11...and shes a big pain!!! i love her more then anything but its just that we NEVER get along!
I knw ppl would say that yr elder and this type of stuff happens to every elder sibling...but she takes my stuff and gives it to her friends as gifts..she takes (steals) my money...she on purposes breaks my things..whenever i go to spend a day at my friends place and come back home my room is a freakin mess, she opens my cupboards and wears my new clothes and shoes and ruins them!Some times we also get into physical fights...which i dont like at all.. mostly i get beaten up coz i dnt hit her coz shes just a small kid!i have tried talking to her but it isnt working at all...she lies to me about everything and blames every little thing on me! every body takes her side coz shes younger den me and cuter!!!i get yelled at all the time even if it wasnt my fault!

I have been married for 4 yrs. I am 32 . I suffered a lot in these 4 yrs becoz of my husband. his drinking habit, telling lies on money,matters being jobless. I am earning, taking money from my A/c without my knowledge we separated for two times becoz of his these types of activities. Two months back we were living separately and now we have started living together. he is being given treatment for his drinking habit. he is in a job with a reasonable salary etc. we do not have children that too becoz of his drinking habit becoz of these bitter experiences I really do not have either any good impression on him or affection for him. Even while having sex with him I really do not show much interest and he says I do not have any feelings. How any woman can have feelings with such a man. All the trust everything is lost becoz before he fooled me by pretending that he is no more in the drinking habit and pledged jewels etc without my knowledge. really this has created an aversion in my mind

I had proposed a girl 2months back......she said no to me.

There's a prog on TV just now, discussin' the use of the N word between cultures. It seems most people see the N word as relating to the slavery era as opposed to an endearing term for people from Nigeria. eg, as in Brits, Japs...

The discussion raises the issues of it's valid use if it was reclaimed by black people and made into a POSITIVE word as opposed to it's alleged derogatory term, though whites and blacks alike are saying maybe the word should be dropped altogether as it's a form of degradation.

I've noticed, black people will call each other My *n* etc, as a friendly term as if empowering the word with positivity and thus removing the potential emotional derogatory and abusive context.... Yet if a white person used the term, even if he was in your circle of friends it's still seems offensive.

This is an ongoing issue, though looking to the future and your childrens future, how do you feel about the use of the *n* word, Should it be taken out of use altogether?

Ok my friend got married the other day. But here is the problem my ex boyfriend was going to the wedding also. My husband didn't want me to go without him even though he works away from home and we could not afford for hiom to come home and take time off for a wedding for the day to a person he has only meet once and I have known my whole life. if was a small wedding and my ex was going to be there. would you want your wife to go without you or am I over reacting. I wanted to go alone for one we have three kids and i have not had a day away from them in three years and wanted to go so i could be there for her and kind get a break from the kids. nothing to do with my Ex. anyway woman wuld you have gone without your husband or kids. It turned out I couldnt go anyway oldest had prome night and I would have not made it back in time to be here for him so I stayed but would you and what would you have done? thanks for the answers

I have grew up without a father in my life. The only men I grew up around are my uncles and my cousins but I'm not really cose to them. I'm not really close to anyone. I have went out with this guy who was from Africa, At first he treated me very well until he pressured me into sex. because this is sort of the deal with me and my boyfriend. we've been together for 8 months. in mid july/beginning august i started to get distant towards him (avoiding romantic moments, ...) because i got afraid of how close we had grown before that. since then i've been struggling with this. near the end of august he was really sad/hurt about it, we talked about it and i told him it would stop.
now it has already gotten better, but i don't initiate kisses, hugs and sex anymore. do not get me wrong, i do respond when he kisses me and stuff, i'm just not the one making the moves anymore - while i did do this a lot more before.
so i guess i've become less affectionate... and he's texting me less lately... i want to change both of these things: better contact during week (cause i already only see him once a week due to me being at a dorm) and initiating more myself again.
but is the lack of contact due to me being less affectionate you think? would this be normal guy-reaction?
