My current - well over a year, he was my best friend first. My last ex I met at uni and was dating within a few days. It really doesn't matter, if you like each other start dating.

2 1/2 years. He was married for about a year of that, and I didn't want anything serious. It was love at first sight, but we had our own things to do. My daughter was too young and had too many changes, and I wasn't ready to trust another man.
We did finally get together. It has been wonderful every day since.
