Well my opinion is to get her out of school and take her to homeschooling. Home schooling is much better and since they are learning individually, they don't have others around to have a negative influence on her. Second of all, always check her pockets and bags before she goes out to see if she has any smokes, and also be aware of what type of friends she has. Third of all, pick a nice day and sit and talk to her, don't be mean or anything, just a simple talk and let her know that you are aware of her smoking, and also let her know the risks of smoking. Fourth of all, if you see this getting to be as a problem simply punish her but not too strictly and sooner or later she will understand whats right from whats wrong and she'll be thanking you. This is all my opinion and i have seen this method on many teens and it had a very good result in the ending. Hope you succeed =)

its not hard i started when i was 9 which was a long time ago and i know a girl now who is having some problems and she is 11 and buying smokes and getting them from older kids at school who pass as 18. its so easy at school to give a few $ to a friend to buy them for you especially if they look older and pass as 18
If she is in high school and not an aspiring athlete she probably is not yet concerned about her health so that approach may have only a small effect
I would let her know that if she wants to have a good reputation at school smoking will only destroy it. It may feel cool at the moment but a bad reputation will follow shortly.
Also tell her how gross it smells

I don't smoke, but some people I've talked to said that they used to smoke, but when their parents found out, they made him smoke a whole pack in front of them. He was so sick of smoking that he didn't touch one again for a long time. It is really drastic and should only be used for a last resort. Just talk to her and let her know the bad results of smoking. Find some pamphlets about smoking, or look up some sites to show her. You might also be able to find pictures of lungs that have been over saturated with cigarette smoke.

Well dont assume first off. Lots of kids smoke so she might just be getting the second hand. Also just cause you smoke doesent turn your personality upside down it just messes up your lungs and eventually kills you painfully. Maybe its the people she is hanging with who are causing the attitude change....but if she is still in her teens girls are very hard to deal with but dont worry they grow up. Finally do you realize how many kids parents buy them smokes...or get older friends to buy them? Kids will share and sometimes do things for cigarettes...in my younger days ive seen some thing ive seen girls go as low as sexual favours for 2 dollars to buy a pack of cigs. Sad world we live in eh? Just make sure you keep an eye on her.

When someone smells like smoke . . . you know the addage. I used to smoke as a teen, and stopped many years later. I tried everything to increase my will-power, but smoking is difficult to discontinue.
I have found help with many things in life through a local radio show in Los Angeles area. I hope you can help your daughter with her smoking issues.

Well, to be honest, if she is going to smoke, she will find a way to smoke even if you don't like it. But what you could do, is print a picture of a smoker's lungs, (you'd be surprised to see what the lungs look like). She may be young enough that it will scare the crap out of her. I wish someone had done it for me when I was younger before I got addicted.

Smokes cigarettes? When did we start treating smokes like heroin in this country? It is a nasty habit and it will probably kill me one day but it isn't illegal!Everyone hates smokers but did you realize that if all smokers quit your taxes would go up over $5000 per person in the U.S.? I pay over $30 a carton in taxes and smoke 2 cartons a week.Where do you think "W" would get the money to play war if it wasn't for us smokers?
