My school is going on a trip to London, Paris and Madrid.
It costs 500 for a deposit, and the trip is 2,000.
I help a lot with the house and cleaning, and just being a good kid. My mom laughed when i asked which made me feel bad. I don't ask for extra money or anything. I offered to be a cafetreria lady at my school so my dad didn't have to pay for my lunch. Then i filled out my job applications to show how much i want to go. If i had to i would pay them back. They don't really want to talk about it but it is a once ina life time chance and my best friend is going and it would be cool to go together. i am not spoiled.. please what can ido??
Thanks!!!!

I'm meeting my new girlfriend's father for the first time Friday night before Homecoming, and I've never had to go through the talk before. What are your suggestions?

I have this anger that I cannot let go of. No amount of exercise helps. It's not all the time, it's comes and it goes, but when it's there, it's REALLY there. My mom and hubby think that I should get on some medication. I thinking that I probably do, but how is medication going to help the thoughts that are in my head constantly. How is it going to help that I can't even have sex with my husband without thinking that he probably wishes it were her instead of me? Anyone else feel like they were cracking up after the affair?

My son, whom I dearly love, has been discharged from the Navy.

It's an "Other than Honorable" discharge, and I can't help feeling ashamed. I don't know how to handle this at all, I don't want to tell anyone, but this is a small town and it wont take long before everyone knows. Not only am I ashamed of my son, I am ashamed of myself for feeling this way.

He kept doing stupid things, like missing class, or messy room, nothing criminal, just stupid.

People are gonna look down at him, he's gonna be judged and questioned, oh it looks bleak.

How can I help him and myself, not to mention his dad.

Thanks

I guess that I need to ask this question again, because so many people got hung up on the phrasing of an engagement ring as an "investment". (Thank you to those who did get the point the first time around.)

Obviously, it's not a home...but it is something that lasts much longer than the whole wedding/reception ordeal (a few hours)...and diamonds never depreciate in value (like real estate). They are something that can be passed down to your children/grandchildren.

My question was: Is there anyone else out there that believes the engagement ring should cost more than the wedding/reception?

He has asked for a divorce three times. I have done everything including read every book there is about relationships. He is 61 and has had a devastating blow at work due to restructuring - lesser job and less pay. He has offered all the furniture, etc. "Paying me to leave" means dipping into his retirement which I really struggle with. I've asked for counseling several time but he has never really answered or brought it up. I know I will survive this but I really love him and want to be there for him and with him for the rest of my life. There has been no financial or history misbehavior and the physical aspect of our relationship is there (not right now) but has lacked depth. I feel that there is something else, but not someone else. Any advice?

Okay, I have this friend and her mom claims to be a Christian. They go to Church a few times a week and seem pretty normal, but I've noticed something weird they've been doing lately...
They used to have this VERY sweet dog a few years ago, and they put her to sleep. When I asked why, I found out that the daughter was pulling on the dogs ears and hitting her in the face (basically, being obnoxious). They dog kept growling but she still wouldn't stop, so he snapped at her.
Now, I saw her after this happened, and she didn't even have a red MARK on her face from the "bite"! Nothing! And they put her to sleep. And I babysit their daughter, I know she's a drama queen. If you blow on her, she'll start crying and say you broke her leg!
Also, last year they put their cat to sleep because it peed in their bed. They didn't even try to put it up for adoption or see if anyone would want it. They just immediatly put it to sleep.

So I would like to get married in a quick fast wedding at the civil court in los angeles. i know there are a few to choose from. i was wondering how they go about performing the actual ceremony? Is it just at some desk and they just sware you in or something? Thats what im picturing. This isn't the route I want, but it will be the route I have to settle for right noq. Trying to get married before my love goes off to Iraq. Please share your experiences.

Also, do they give the the official wedding certificate the same day? or do you get it in the mail or do you have to come back?

My sister has lost a lot of weight and she keeps losing it. My mom and her went to the doctor and the doctor said she should go to a counselor. My dad is really nosy but he doesnt live with us and my sister never listens to him because he thinks he's just being a fake dad, so when he heard about it, he just gave her a lecture and that just made my sister more mad. My mom said something about her eating healthier and now she wont listen to my mom. She talks to me about it, but i dont want her to stop talking to me because then nobody will no whats going on. I have no idea what to say to her and I dont know if I should tell my parents because they will just say that i told them things to her and she wont want to talke to me. I know this sounds really bazarre, but if you have any advice, please answer because Im really confused. I know I should just tell my parents, but I dont know exactly how theyd handle it and I dont want to make it worse for my sister because she might get really sick
