You need to seek professional help, but also you need to let your boyfriend know that you are feeling this way... my girlfriend tends to get depressed and sometimes she won't communicate it to me, though by now I can tell just by looking at her for 2 seconds. Yes, you are suffering from depression if those symptoms you described are effecting you.

Counseling and possibly a referral for meds might be good. See your family doc and he or she can give a referral.
We all go through deep despair and usually snap out or gradually come back, If youv'e been in this so long that you can't see a way back and it keeps you from normal functioning, eating, bathing and like that, call a good friend or relative and get to a Dr or clinic and get some help. Your boyfriend will want to help you.
There are people like me and others like me who care about strangers and get them to helping agencies, you're not alone. In your community there are surely groups that will help you if you don't have insurance.
If that is the case Try the YWCA for referrals if you are a veteran call the VA, The local welfare board for medicaid even if you are working for a medical card if you don't qualify they will have a list of resourses. Some free advice is don't self medicate, and I mean alcohol or other drugs, you'll only make a problem worse.
In the meantime remember There was a time when you felt happy and there will be a time when you'll be happy again

YES YES YES. That could be depression. Please see a doctor. Talk to your friends and get out more often. It may seem like the future holds no hope, but that the illusion of depression, it's NOT reality. Talk to friends and family about the way you feel, often. Go outside and walk, exercise, get sunlight and make plans. Only drink and eat healthy foods, steer clear of junk food for a while. The mind tells you things that aren't true when you're depressed, like "my boyfriend doesn't love me" - now go do healthy activities even if you don't want to leave the house. Force yourself. See a psychiatrist, sometimes mediaction helps, but you can help yourself more by changing your lifestyle. Best wishes!

Yes, that's a textbook manifestation of depression, especially when it surfaces without apparent cause. Many of our emotions are biochemically induced, and in the case of depression, oftentimes chemistry is released in the brain without corresponding external stimuli and you end up "feeling" just as you would if there was a stimulus present. This means it's time for a visit to the doctor. With an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment you can radically improve the quality of your life, (but you should know, many types of depression are chronic and require medical intervention for long periods of time.) Don't let that stop you, though....feeling better is just ahead of you. Good luck.

What makes you happy? If you can't come up with an answer, don't be upset. Just think about it some more. Find something that makes you happy, it can be anything. Start with something simple, like... puppies. If puppies make you happy, come up with a plan for getting a puppy. Don't go get one right away, think about all the things involved with having a puppy and think about what kind of puppy you like best. Then prepare yourself and your environment to have a puppy. When you are ready, go get that puppy.

Yes hun, that is depression. You should probably talk to a doctor about it, no matter how you may think you don't need to.
If anything, he can give you a lil med to help you through this lil hard time in your life.
Just remember, you are still worth a lot in God's eyes, no matter how down you feel. And you never have the right to take your own life, your life belongs to God and it would be stealing from him.

First of all people do care, they just don't know what to do. It sounds like you have a broken heart. Do what ever to take you mind off of the situation. It will get better in time. Hang in there. You do sound a little depressed but who wouldn't be.

i was in the same situation not too long ago,,,,there is no point in crying for a guy, who most likely is perfectly fine, and going out as you cry. make the best of it. get up, get ready and go out, that is the only thing that will take your mind off the problems. its not worth it for you to get sick over something that might not even have a solution, and if it does have a solution, it will come, but dont just stay there and cry, ull drive yourself crasy.

That may be a form of depression, but PLEASE don't base your life happiness on anyone other than yourself. Relationships come and go, but you are the one you need to be able to depend on no matter what.
Spend time with friends, family, hobbies, or anything that'll get your mind off your blues...if you still can't shake them then maybe you should see a counselor so you can speak about what's troubling you and get help to move on.
The sun will shine again...it really will. âº

well i had this! it even ended up me not going out on my own so then i formed agrofobia then i made some new mates in my new school and totally got over crowds and people and started to trust people again and i only worried about the little things that teenagers do such as boys makeup friends !
you have to push yourself that extra step hunny! its either you feel sorry for yourself or make something of yourself! i chose the second option! hope you do too =]
