I have been divorced for seven months now. I have not kept in contact with my exhusband. Recently i got an email from him but i dont know how he got my email address. He emailed that he wanted to speak with me but did not want to give his number. i am not sure whether to respond or not. Any ideas as to why he is doing this?

A good friend of mine's dad has an issue with child porn, and I don't know what to tell her. I've never delt with anything like that in my family and I can't relate to the whole situation but I want to help her out. What would you say?

money is tight for the other little girls family so she is wearing a "hand me down" dress that is kind of old fashioned. I have bought my daughter a brand new dress which is really beautiful. and the mother has already approached me and said that she doesnt want my daughter to still the show bec she doesnt have enough money to buy her "fancy things" so what should i do ? take my daughters dress back or keep it?

I have happily had my son's custody returned to me. on aug 31, 07 my son father moved to florida from calif. my son who is 17 and still in high school wanted to move back in with me to finish high school. I ask his father to put something in writing that would explain that now i have physical custody. in reality his father will not be seeing him until he graduates high school. my son his in 11th grade. his father has stated that he wishes to retain joint physical custody. (in order to have reduced child support obligations?) since my son is going to be living with me 100% of the time, what would be in the best interest of my son? i have always paid my child support in a timely matter and have been always current. help i need some guidence, thank you.

I am a hardworking mother of 3 children and at least I think a happy and stable marriage. The problem is my husband seems to want sex all the time and even though I want to consider his feelings and his needs I'm never in the mood for him. Please keep in mind that NO ONE ELSE thinks that my girls (from a previous marriage) are bad. They are 14 & 16. They love each other. The rest of my family and even their teachers love them.
My husband tells me daily things like: "The oldest thinks that she's the boss of the house." "He can't live in a house that the kids run" He doesn't feel welcome in the livingroom, so he won't even go out the front door. He even told me the other day that he will be glad when they have children of their own and ask how to handle a problem. Then he can tell them,"Handle it like your mother, don't do anything."
BUT...this SAME MAN, when I'm sad that he thinks I've been such a bad mother, says that I've been a good mother. It's not my fault that they've chosen to be rebelious.
When you think someones kids are bad, don't you blame the parents? And with his recent statement, doesn't it sound like he really does too?

I shouldn't listen to what others say but the other day this cabbie said woman's "main" role was to make babies. I wanted to smash his face in. I do want to get married (again) but I want to spend that time with my husabnd & not have to share it. I want us to have fun & travel to places some of which are not meant for kids. I have also seen how hard it is on single or married moms I do know also. Maybe it's a good thing I realize I wouldn't be a good mom before having kids?

Also I suffer from a borderline personality disorder & it can be hereditary & I wouldn't want a child of mine to suffer 1/2 what I have.

My friend is a female and we are very good friends. I think she is going with another one of my friends to homecoming and I really mad because I told her my feelings about her in 7th btw were in 9th grade now. I ask her out in 7th grade and she said she would have gone out with me, but her parents said she was too young. I don't think she knows about how going to homecoming with another friend is making me depressed and sad. Should I do something or just let it unfold? I have only 1 class with her and for some reason in school she doesn't talk to me a lot, which saddens me. I talk to her mostly on facebook and sometimes e-mail. I have chased girls that play hard to get, and been called a stalker by girls. You girls have acted the same why both times. So at what point is it satlking compared to playing your game of chase? We've been together for almost 3 years now, but due to studies we are living in different cities and can meet only once in 3-4 weeks. Yet we talk every day, a lot, and usually describe in detail how our day was/ what we are going to do during the day. Esp abt going-outs we inform each other in advance (i.e. not just before the going-out happens, so that the other has time to arrange sth too).
Two days ago I called, only to be told he's just going out (returned past midnight). What was worse was that this week he's been very busy due to studies and didn't spend almost any time with me. After agreeing he was wrong (which doesn't happen too often), comes today. He tells me he's going out shopping for something at 2pm, now its 2 am and he hasn't returned, and doesn't pick up his mobile.....
How should I react?

My family is being torn appart. My step dad wants to divorce her, because her her drinking has become a huge problem. We went out to run some errands today, and she brought "lemonade". We later found out that she had mixed vodka in it, and got drunk.

It's happening all the time. When she is drunk, she says really awful things. My step dad can't take it anymore.
We suggest AA meetings, and she is almost embarressed to go.

When we DO find her alchohol, and tell her, she get's really really mad. She'll lock herself in her room for hours. I really don't know what to do, me being only 15.

What can I do??
