Anywhere you live, there are limitations on how many people can live in an apartment. If the law does not provide those stipulations by zoning laws, the landlord certainly should and usually does. I do not know of any landlord who will knowingly allow that many people to live in a one-bedroom apartment because it is not safe.

Most communities have not only zoning laws but also laws in regards to fire safety and health codes. These are usually based the type of dwelling the square footage. The way to find out about what is allowed in your area is to call the zoning commission and ask them what the stipulations are for rental properties in your area.

If you need a cover story, just say you are doing some research on rental properties in the area and you need to know what the zoning commission in the area allows and disallows in regards to tenant occupancy. They don't have to know why you are really asking.

The only people who should be concerned if that many people are living in a small apartment is the person who owns the building and with whom he signed the lease. I would expect that the landlord is not aware and would either evict or charge more.

BTW I expect the first department might not appreciate the situation. However, in many countries where housing and money are limited, this is not an unusual situation.

definite. it would be somewhat tight to objective to have 3 people living in a 725 sq. feet. one mattress room house. the only way i might evaluate it would be if the third person grew to become right into a toddler and you basically planned to stay there for some months.

Hmmmmm rather specific I see.... you must want them to get in trouble very badly. What did they do to piss u off?

By the way..yes it is illegal for children of the opposite sex to occupy the same sleeping arrangements. You can also make a complaint for an unsafe environment with the fire department...they have codes that cover this as in pertains to safety.

Good luck... i hope you get even...lol.

You can have as many people as you want as long as you keep it clean.
