I use to think that having a girlfriend was very important to me. It even came to the point of sheer desperation to have one; which turned out to have been a big mistake. I no longer think that it is important to have a girlfriend due to being burnt and therefore, put being single as being important. If I do meet someone, whom I can trust then I might change my position.

being singles fine but having a bf/gf is good because you know that someone loves you. I say enjoy being a single(if you are one) and independent.

Doesn't matter either way to me. I'm single right now because I'm fresh out of college and just starting out in my career, so I don't want anyone to tie me down. A lot of my friends are either engaged or married and they couldn't imagine not being in a relationship, but I also have many single friends too. Sometimes I feel like men can try to be too controlling and I'm not all about that. Anyway, I like being single and dating around.

I think being single is good cuz you're free to do what you want. you dont have to worry about meeting up with whoever you're going out with and being late and always hanging out together. you're your own person and you do what you want, you're independant. But having a bf/gf is also good cuz you have someone there for you who'll help you and give u a shoulder to cry on and you wont be alone.

My mother taught me to be "self sufficient, self motivated and self directed."

I was raised to rely on no-one.

I was told it is a "Doggie - Dog" world out there.

To have someone in my life is a luxury, and I appreciate it since I am accustomed to doing everything on my own.

I feel it is not on my scale of importance, since I do not measure the ideology? It simply is not my upmost priority and if it happens, great! If not, okay...I kick into another mode.

You do what you've got to do?

i'm 17. i've never had a bf, and right now, no it's not that important to me. i've got friends with bfs and they've made mistakes that they regret that i don't want to make, especially not now and just the drama seems like too much of a headache for me right now. but no, i'm not saying i definitely don't want a bf, it's just not a top priority.

It's really not that important to me. If it happens, good, I have someone I can share my feelings and emotions with. If I'm single, that's fine too, I can focus on me and what I want. Sometimes you just need to look out for yourself.
