know that people say to give compiments, but if everyone knows that if a guy who has only talked to you once or twice then just walzes up and says "You have beautiful eyes" then he likes you. I mean it, everyone knows this. So how do i start a conversation that leads her to want to giv me her number?

I like her a lot, she goes to my church, is a christian, and is very beautiful, but i cant figure out a not-so-obvious way of doing it, you know subtle.

i just need a few pointers as to where i can talk to her, what should the first things i say to her be, and how do i move at to getting her #?

Thanks for all your help on the matter.

Does anyone else think that those adament feminists have destroyed the image of a lady? What if I want to wear a modest but flirty dress? Why do women hide their femininity behind blue jeans and t-shirts? Men are now comfortable swearing in front of us. Doors are not opened.
Does anyone else see the role of Lady fading away?

My husband and I have a 6 mo old baby. I am a stay at home mother. I am beginning to feel as though we have nothing in common. He comes home from work and tells me about his day I tell him what the baby did, and 10 minutes after he gets home we have nothing left to say to eachother. It is so sad to me that we used to talk for hours and now we cant speak for more than a matter of minutes Are we growing apart? Am I not taking care of myself anymore/not attractive anymore? Has he found other interests or is he just not interested in me?

I got an IM from someone I don't know about a girl I like and they said something weird that I dunno what I should think of it. Would you say that this is saying something along the lines of "She has a boyfriend" or something else. It doesn't say it straight forward but I'm not sure. I do NOT know the gender or even the person at all, so could it be her on another SN or maybe her friend? This is the thing they said: "im sorry for beating oyu in the competition to get to her". What would you interpreat that as? I know what it says but dunno what to make of it.

She ran away from home with a total unknown guy to us and found in a room with him at his house. I'm eff pissed-off and i feel like strangling her!! The problem here is, she's only 11 and had already d courage to run away with some old, adult guy. I'm very, very mad and I told her f off and told her indirectly she's not my sister. But, i'm confused. What i should really do? I actually don't give sh*t at all of whatever she wanna do; she can go f---ing around and get all kinda STDs she wants, but i pity my parents. They're d only reason i forced myself to feel responsible & concerned. She's d last in my famly, & has alwiz been secretive. Me& my big sis suspect dat it's juz dat she got wrong companies in her all-girls school. I never really bother about her and it's like no difference whether she exists or not, i pretended i was concerned juz bcoz people say i have to.

My counselor is teaching me how to be assertive and she said to say "Regardless I don't appreciate the way you treat me" and walk away. THat'll shut them up.

Huh how can that? There are situations where I want to say that but it sounds too stupid.

For example when my dad's around(I go to his house alot to help my mom raise her granddaughter(not mine). Well my dad would love to say "quit it" or "shut up" for no reason controlling me(he's also neglected me and abused me throughout my life). Anyway how is telling him "regardless I don't appreciate the way you treat me" assertive and smart?

Like for example tonight, he was getting his dinner and my neice was standing in his way and everyone was saying get out of the way and when I said "come here sweetie" he's like SHUT UP and QUIT IT (insert my name here).

Any assertive responses to say to make him stop treating me like a child or whatever you want to call it?

QUESTION I AM ASKING AFTER YOU READ THE STORY IS WHY would SANDY (a chunky girl ) tell MARY (a thin girl who is always told by strangers, relatives, friends she is thin/skinny, looks like a size 4) that Sandy thinks Mary is average and size 8,then pauses and adds in size 10. MARY (who is THE friend I am asking about) IS UPSET AS TO WHY SANDY WOULD SAY WHAT SHE SAID WHEN EVERYONE IS ALWAYS TELLING MARY SHE IS THIN/SKINNY AND SINGLE DIGIT SIZE. HERE IS THE STORY: Mary (very thin) and Sandy (chunky)met in the hallway, Mary told Sandy she got a parking spot right across the street. Sandy said to Mary Exercise. And the reason Sandy said she mentioned exercise because she is concerned about her heart. Mary decided to ask; Sandy do you think I am thin; As Sandy was putting stuff away Sandy replied to Mary; You are average, size 8 paused and added size 10;Mary left and went back to her desk. Four co-workers saw Mary and asked Mary what was wrong Mary told them the story. Her co-workers said to her; Mary you are thin/skinny and cannot be more than a size 4, and not more than 110 pounds. Then Mary said; So why did Sandy say average and size 10 if everyone sees me as skinny/thin size 4;They replied; Sandy is jealous; Do you agree/concur with Marys friends? Here are some things her co-workers and friends said after Sandys remark: Audrey: Mary you are so skinny Billy: Mary you are thin. Jill: No wonder Mary you are so skinny Tom: Mary you cannot weigh more than 100lbs Yvette: Thin I want to feel you Mary Sara: Mary you are thin Petunia: Thin not just saying that you Mary are thin - cannot weigh more than 90lbs Doris: How do you Mary stay so thin and you have to be a size 4;

This seems to be my husband's goal to make idiot decisions with money and time, not to mention with the kids (poor child rearing) after 13 years, you'd think he'd learned SOMETHING!
Is it possible he's faking stupidity? (I totally think no human can be this stupid and still breath.) How can I not act so angry when he acts so (seemingly) purposely stupid?

my daughter was getting into trouble here at home with her friends, couldnt handle it anymore so her half brother said he and his wife would take her until she straighten up(6 months) now hes telling her i cant see her unless i call on mondays(i told him i would pick her up every other weekend) that shes his kid now and that he will take me to court if i try to take her back home. his wife signed the notarized document not him. he trying to take her cell phone from her so i dont have any contact with her except through their home phone. they are planning on moving and i beleive they wont tell me where. i'm thinking of going to her school and take her from there because if i go to his house he wont let me take her if he knows shes coming home for good. they live in l.b, i live in s.j so the school does not know me as her mother, except through id i guess. can they do this, it wasnt through court for legal guardian its just on paper.

one or two. Would someone like to explain why the Bible contains each of these contradictions? Perhaps a couple can be interpreted otherwise in context, but not all of them. Ok my girlfriend is 21 and her husband is 19 years old. They will be married a year in December and he already seems to be tired of her. Every time he doesnt get what he wants he is really mean to her and talks to her like skum saying stuff like " I hope you die" and your a ***** and every other mean thing like that. Now she has never done anything but worship the ground he walks on and she puts him first over everyone including herself. Believe me our friendship has suffered in the past. But three days ago he left her and moved all his things including food to his mothers house saying he needs to be away from her. Now he wont talk to her and she doesnt know what he is doing or if he is ok. He writes mean things on his stupid myspace that are directed toward her and then before this little break he never wanted to have sex with her. But he wants to have a long time period without her. I dont think he is doing right by her and I want some more advice for her, Please help her???????!!!!

I usually "accidentally" touch his hand but he always moves it away. Does he know I wanna hold his hand but hes not ready or does he not know that i want to or does he just not wanna hold hands with me?Yes,my hands are clean. No mean comments please.Rude comments will be reported. Thanks in advance.

Please be honest, I was having a long distance relationship with this guy, in a way the distance was nice because we were getting to know each other which now a days people don't take the time to do...We talked about everything my kids etc. I became very attached to him but we had a fall out communication ceased for 9 months, I was hurt but eventually I began to move on. He recently sent me a text which explained that he was just involved in a 6 month relationship with someone who also was a single mom....which he will never do again
(be involved with a single mom) he went on to say that if we had gotten involved it probably won't have worked (I guess because of the kids) and wasn't I glad that he discovered this through another? WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? After so many months why would he text me this? Now I'm hurt all over again. Does this mean that he saved me from being hurt?? Help!!

I been in a relationship with a friend for a month and a half and I still haven't gotten her anything special in specific... the only thing I done so far is getting her tickets for Tyra Bank show which she likes..

My question is... how often should a guy buy gifts to their gf's in random besides special days (bday, valentimes, christmas etc.)... I know it really depends whenever one feels like but the thing is, being the first time in a relationship I dont know what is the balance between showering one with too many gifts and or not doing enough. Also what about flowers and anniverseries?
