I don't know what confussed means but it looks like you weren't ready for marriage.

You haven't explained the situation here but marriage means spending time with your partner.

Things change - not zipping off to a pub when you feel likie it; coming home late without some good reason; shopping together; managing finances etc........

Are these some of the "duties" hubby expects of you - & you see it as him being "over protective"....?

And he wasn't before you married? How long did you know him? What plans did you make prior to marriage about your life goals and plans? Did you discuss how you would divide responsibilites and what those would be? How did you decide on children and if you would have them? If you married only on hormones, this is what happens. If you don't like it and you have no children, get rid of the relationship and make better choices the next time.

Sounds like he has issues. He needs to get it together before he takes it to a new level. Self control would be a start.

Maybe you both weren't ready for marriage. He should be overprotective, he is responsible for you and you for him. But if he's being jealous that's another issue altogether. I don't know what else to say because you left out so MANY details and I can't provide you with an answer that'll help.
