What smells trigger memories from your childhood?

Mine: Damp corn husks (sitting in Grandma's garden), campfires (family bonfires on the farm), musty smells (snooping around the attic), talcum powder (sitting in Great Granny's lap), frying chicken (coming home from school at dinner time)......

Hi, I am 24 and there is this guy at work, he comes once every two weeks to our office and so far we've seen each other maybe two or three times. I smile, he smiles, we've talked for a little bit here and there about non-imortant things...but even though he seems like a very shy guy, whenever I smile, he always seems to return his smile in a flirty way.

How can I find out, without making it seem too obvious of course, if he is single?

And if he is single, would it be okay for me to give him my number?

Any guys out there who would have an opinion on this topic please let me know. How would you feel if a girl would ask if you were single out of the blue, and offer her number to you?

Thanks.

My mom loves to talk about sickness - whether its a friend who has cancer or a new illness on TV. She has come down with a stomach virus and she can do nothing but talk about it obsessively. Whenever she is sick everythign else goes by the wayside and she obsesses on this over and over. Is this normal? I don't do it. It is really stressful and annoying. I think people who are sick can and should talk about it here and there, but not endlessly. Its not good for them or their illness!

Shes blowing money on other things when she needs to be working on her credit to buy this car. shes never missed a payment and has been really good in that fact. My husband and i are plannin on gettin either a new car or him a crotch rocket bc im going back to work. My mom swears that my hubby and i agreed to her havin 2 years to get the car. itll be a year in feb my mom said that in another year she still wont have enough credit back up to buy the car, i dont know what to do i dont want to screw her over and my mom to be pissed *4 going back on our "word". we did this out of love for my sister and in the end we are gettin screwd. i need all advice i can get.

My husband believes that you don't need to spend time to gether to make a marriage work. He says he is to busy to care what I thinkl or what I feel. Because I believe that it will never work if you don't spend time together and that you are NEVER to busy to make a little time for your family IF YOU WANT TO AND IF YOU WANT IT TO WORK. He believes I am being to needy. What do you think. I believe he no longer loves me and that is why he no longer cares how I feel and stays as busy as he can.

This is kind of a peculiar situation: I'm a Junior in high school and there's a girl that likes me who is a sophomore. I found out she liked me when my friend (also her friend's brother) told me. I didn't know who she was, but I sort of developed an attraction to her. Anyway, it's a year later and I've never talked to her before, but judging my the glances she's been sneaking toward me lately, I'm inclined to think she still likes me. What should I do to break the ice and actually approach her?

Is it in poor form to just put the address on the invite instead of the name and address? The place is beautiful, but it's called "A Touch of Elegance", and that just sounds cheap and cheesy to me...

Instead, is it still appropriate to say "Reception following at (insert address here)".

What do you think?

I am getting married for the second time and I am on a tight budget. I was just wondering if it's appropriate for me to use items from the first wedding, such as the cake server, guest book pen, stuff like that, nothing like the dress.

Well... I really sucked in High School... I was not a C, D student, but a B, C, student... I graduated early and went to community college... now I am straight A, I only have 2 B's and a total of 60 hours... 3.8 GPA and I'm halfway done with my BS... I got accepted as a transfer to an Ivy school, and I'm going there come next fall... I even got into PTK... they called me...

I have no friends (lots of enemies) and one family member (my mom)... so all I have to focus on is studies...

But, This semester, I'm not doing so well from the beginning... I already failed a quiz that I thought I did good on and missed a two assignments... How do I keep myself from slipping? I feel myself slipping... If I slip, I'm screwed, and I'll have to shoot myself because all I have is a fresh mind and good grades...

my mom and my sister, the only ones in my life are poor and counting on me... she calls every day and tells me that... what if I fail? Then I'll be like my dad... I can't face them...

I am married now after a break up with my ex. I talked to him only once and he was crying, sounding really measurable. He had cheated on me, I was hurt that time. I cried like helpless, drove here and there as if I am going to die. My ex bf left me for another b'ful girl. He always said I am not b'ful and he dumped me like a piece of paper. He didn't even look back that time to me. I have been with him for 2 years. I loved him with all my heart.I pray for him always. But lately he found that girl is having a very bad past and then he already slept with her. He asked me to save him, I was still waiting for him. I said to be strong and realise things. But instead he was saying he loves her so much, its true love(2months only it lasted). He never gave me a final answer. Now i am married, he called said, he is regretting of what he did. I told everything correct and why didn't i pull him. he said he will die. he is a bad person. I still love him,but cant trust or forgive him. What he wants?

I get married next year, if I have sex with a woman before I get married then is it still cheating? It's something that I really want to do but I'm not sure that my fiance would be impressed or supportive.

My guy & I have been together for 6 months & the other day he told me that this woman he dated briefly called him with an attitude because she saw pictures of us online together. When they last saw each other he said he told her really didnt have time for a relationship but he actually wasnt interested in having a relationship. So she send me some nasty emails about them being together last night and some other childish mess which I ignored because I know she is lying and upset. Any way today I was on his page and saw a new friend so I called him and asked him about it, well I forgot that he didnt have his computer . I wasnt upset I was calm and he explained that he didnt know because his lap top was still being repaired so I asked if it was possible that someone had his password and then I realized I could be mistaken. So later he wants to talk about it and said he doesnt understand why I have to spy on him. Its a public website so how am I spying? Guys especially what do you think?

I am a 29 year old divorced woman. I have a job, go to school to better myself, and have a cute little apartment. I am also a single mother to a 10 year old little girl. I have been divorced since December 2006. I would really like to start dating again, but have really no clue where to even start looking. I have also become alittle shy since my divorce and would like to come out of my shell to meet some new people. I really dont like the whole bar scene because I am a christian. Does anyone out there know where I can find a good, honest man. Are there any free dating sites. I am in Oklahoma.

I am getting married next month, and i cant decide whether to keep my surname as it is now, and add on my partners, so it is double barrelled, or whether to ditch my surname and just use his. Does anyone know how easy it is to change your surname by deed poll at a later date, or if i kept it double barrelled, can i choose which surname i have on documentation?

i'm in love with this perfect guy who loves me despite my flaws. it's just that he lives two hours away. i see him once a month if i'm lucky. i only talk to him three times a week for an hour but sometimes he's busy so i don't talk to him for that long and sometimes he doesn't call me because he has other things to do. i love him so much but i can't help but feel like he deserves better. he tells me that he loves me and i'm his first love. it's just that this relationship is so HARD because i barely see him. i was in a bad relationship before and now things are good it's just hard not seeing him.i don't know what to do. i know i should be grateful that i have him in my life it's just that it's really hard not being or seeing him. i only see him once a month. but not every month.

What are some good songs for my wedding ceremony for either a guy/girl duet, or just the girl to sing during the unity candle lighting? It will be in a protestant church. Traditional songs or some newer pop songs are ok, as long as they are appropriate. Not really a boy band fan. Country is ok too, but I'm already very familiar with Shania Twain songs so are there any less known country songs? Thanks for your suggestions!
