The smell of bologna sandwiches remind me of the cafeteria in elementary school and the smell of a bowling alley (old shoes, musty carpet, beer) because my parents were in a bowling league when i was little and i spent ALOT of time at the bowling alley! Weird huh?

Soap that smells like peaches always reminds me of my grandma's house, because that's the kind of soap she used. Also, this might be a little gross, but whenever I smell a ferret it reminds me of my childhood as well. My brother got a pet ferret when I was about 6 years old, and it died a few years later.

There isn't a specific smell that I could describe that reminds me of childhood.
I spent a lot of time at my grandparents house growing up, and when I drive home to West Virginia to see my family, their house is usually the first place I go to. When I walk in the house, the smell of "Grandma's House" is what reminds me of my youth. It's not a tangible scent that I could say, and everyone would be able to identify. It's something unique to my grandmother's home that no place else has.

Musty damp smells from a cellar.
It reminds me of when I was a little girl living in Germany visiting my Grandparents.
To some people that may sound gross...but I like the smell of cellars!

The smell of tomato sauce stirs up memories of Sunday mornings in my house as a child......
I'm 100% Italian and grew up in New England........so pasta was a 3 times per week meal in our house.
Aslo.....the smell of fresh morning glory flowers brings back memories of vacationing in Falls Church Virginia as a teenager. I would spend at least 2 or 3 weeks there at a time.

My grandmother used to wear a lotion called "Rose Milk" (or something like that) so smelling roses always makes me think of her.
And her legendary strawberry-rhubarb pies had a sweet smell that flooded the entire house. It's not something I smell often, but when I do I'm right back in her kitchen.
