This was a topic of discussion among a few friends the other night. We have a friend who was divorced and turned her 2.5 carat, high-quality, engagement ring into a right hand ring. She added smaller diamonds and other gemstones and it is beautiful. She has worn it every day since.

Now, she is getting close to becoming engaged again. Her new b/f makes considerably less money and could not afford a ring like that. She doesn't want her right hand ring to outshine her engagement ring.

Should she retire the right hand ring?

Or....

Would it be okay for her to give it to her new fiance to trade in? Would it be improper? They have already merged finances anyway.

Or...another suggestion? She doesn't want to sell it because you get so much less than the value. I don't think her b/f would care what she did, but sher wants to "downgrade" or get rid of the right hand ring before the proposal.

What do you all think?

Im just curious how you would handle it if another girl was after your man. This tart he dated years ago keeps tracking him down (mobile) and trying to get it on with him. The main problem is he is too nice to just tell her to **** off! He reckons she is really immature and she will never come between us but despite a warning from me she just won't sod off. Anyone know any good ways of playing her at her own games or getting a bit of gentle revenge. Nothing nasty just a bit of fun. I only have her mobile number and don't know where she lives.
Any websites i can post to or ways of registering her number with sumthing funny? I have tried being grown up about it but lets have some fun lol

Your sitting on the couch watching T.V when out of the corner of your eye, you see something scurrying across the floor. You quickly realize it is your abusive ex, only he is bug sized! What would you do and say?

Lately I just feel like there is something wrong with me. A year ago I was very confident in myself and now I am not. I don't feel attractive at all and cannot remember the last time I felt a guy was truly interested in me. Most of my friends are paired up now and I just feel like the odd one out. I have a really good heart. I just feel like I am missing something. I try to meet new people and volunteer. What should I do?

I want my sister to be my maid of honor. My best friend is about 20 years older than me and she's never been married. Can I call her my Matron of Honor since she's older, or do I have to just call her a Bridesmaid? There will only be the two of them standing with me. Thanks!

I was invited to a wedding this weekend by an old friend for his daughter's wedding. But not sure what to give them as a gift. This is their first marriage and they are young, in their 20s or so. Any ideas?

A few months ago, I went for lunch with a girl at work. She asked me out of the blue.It went really well(she kept telling me details of where she was going out that evening)We continued to chat via email,as she was in another team. She suggested we go for lunch again, I suggested maybe go for a drink after work, which she agreed to.She also said she'd give me her number, but didn't.

Nxt week she mentioned she met someone that wkn.I said I was happy for and wished her luck.I asked if she wanted to go for lunch/a drink and she then said she don't want me getting the wrong idea! I wrote back saying I already fancy someone else and only wanted to be friends with her - nothing more!

Since then we haven't really spoken, she did a few times how it was going with the girl I fancied and she kept praising her new man!

Everytime I see her now,she just blanks me!

1.What went wrong?
2.Did I miss my chance?
3.Does she feel embarrassed by me saying I didn't fancy her?
4.New bloke real?

ok so i really like this guy i work with, and he just went away for a month on some jesus missionary thing down in missouri. so i haven't seen him for a month and yesterday he came into work, and we saw a movie. now i thought i was the only one who had feelings and half way through the movie i had a feet up on the seat in front of me and he had his hand on my leg. ("whu hu!" in my head)
and by the end we were holding hands. so after the movie, we went to dinner and didn't talk about what happened. then he drove me home, but when he pulled up, he's like do you wanna go for a little ride, *yes!!!*
so we went to the light house in my town, and sat at a bench. he asked if i could scratch his back, and we were just talking about his trip and the new stuff at work. so then he puts his arm around me and says i can stop scratching his back and then he kissed me.
so i hate saying this but we made out for a long time, and a little more than that, but then my mom called me and we had to go.

I don't know what the feeling is but it's bugging me not to. Any ideas?

Who's 24 and my ex is 25 going on 26 and I'm only 17, they go to bars together and other places that I couldn't go when we were together. I really miss him and even though he says they aren't serious and that if their relationship doesn't work out he would come back to me, I think they're getting close and it's not just about the sex anymore (she puts out). I don't know if I should wait around for him, I really love him and he has cheated on her with me many times (no sex though) so that's why I'm still wondering if he even likes her. I just hate it because I think they have more in common. They got to bars and clubs and do **** that I can't do yet so he probably has more fun with her. My friend told me to just forget about him and completely shut him out because he just wants to have his cake and eat it too but the problem is that everytime I see him, it's not like he tries to stay faithful to her. Even though I kinda have him, I just want him for myself. What should I do?

Do all girls like to play this silly games like playing hard to get and or say they like you then when you do something nice they ignore you and when you ignore them they do something nice for you.Stuff like that why do you all do this and dont you feel guilty about what you put guys you like through?I want to know which girl isnt like this but why those who are like this do it.

(I already posted this but was hoping for more good answers)

I have known this girl for several months now and we get along great. We have not seen each other in a while but we keep in touch. At first we were chatting a lot over facebook and stuff, but eventually she just randomly called me and we were talking for about an hour.

I did ask her if she wanted to get together and hang out sometime and she said yes, but we both have been busy this week. I really like this girl and want to tell her how I feel (I dont know if I can wait until we eventually meet up) I would like to write her or tell her without seeming creepy.

Im not sure if this girl is just being nice or if she likes me.
I just need some general advice (I know half of the responses are gonna say 'tell her face to face' but im kind of a shy guy, not super shy, I just lack some confidence)

I really don't want to lose her as a friend!

Basically if you're friends with a guy, in the sense that you're really close emotionally - tell each other stuff you wouldn't tell anyone else and all that, is it possible to ever go beyond that to a relationship? Or once you've been friends for ages do you just end up being 'stuck' there?

We met on the internet about three years ago. we keep in contact through the phone and emails. we are from different countries and work commitments and visa restrictions keep us apart. last year, we met in person, spent a week together and we liked each other. my biological clock is ticking and i really just want to have a child by him but he wants to get married. i am worried that it may not work out because we do not really know each other. but since i am planning to have his child, i think that it is in the best interest of the child to have a legitimate father. He is a great guy but marriage is such a big decision. I have a lot of doubts.

I see alot of questions on here concerning engagement rings, either about "how to get the one I want" or "should I let him pick it" types and would love to know everyone's thoughts on this, especially those of you already married. This is just my opinion, but I love the idea of the man choosing the ring, and surprising (as much as he can) the woman. This is how my fiancee did it. But see, I love the ring for what it symbolizes, not just because it's beautiful. Wouldn't care if it came out of a gumball machine. I see alot of conflicting opinions, and I'm not judging - just curious! There are all sorts of rings out there, and I guess I'm kind of sad to see that some women really seem to be competing, or complaining, and won't take anything less than what they absolutely want. Some say men can't be trusted to pick a good one out, and that's sad. Some say "I have to wear it forever, so it has to be perfect". Isn't it perfect because it came from the man you love? What are your thoughts?
