ok so i really like this guy i work with, and he just went away for a month on some jesus missionary thing down in missouri. so i haven't seen him for a month and yesterday he came into work, and we saw a movie. now i thought i was the only one who had feelings and half way through the movie i had a feet up on the seat in front of me and he had his hand on my leg. ("whu hu!" in my head)
and by the end we were holding hands. so after the movie, we went to dinner and didn't talk about what happened. then he drove me home, but when he pulled up, he's like do you wanna go for a little ride, *yes!!!*
so we went to the light house in my town, and sat at a bench. he asked if i could scratch his back, and we were just talking about his trip and the new stuff at work. so then he puts his arm around me and says i can stop scratching his back and then he kissed me.
so i hate saying this but we made out for a long time, and a little more than that, but then my mom called me and we had to go.

ok so we got into his car, and the whole way home he's talking about how he can't have a relationship with anyone but god, and what happened back there was just a one time thing...
wow
i was just shocked... what do i do? i'm so hurt, and i just think why would god want to hurt people. idk why? is he just making up some bs or what?

If he wants to devote his life to God, that's fine, but he shouldn't do that to you. It was mean and hurtful. If he asks you out again to a movie or anything outside of work, politely tell him no - because if he does the same thing again, it's just going to hurt worse. It's better to end it now than think about what could have been because you deserve better than a guy who's going to toy with your feelings like that.

I think you are placing the blame on the wrong person. God didn't do anything to you. This guy, led you to believe he was really into you,did stuff with you, then decided thats all he wanted. He was very wrong to do this to you and I'm sorry you're hurting but he did this to you, not God. Do you really think God wanted him to sit there and let him do what he did? No, God wants us to have great meaningful relationships, get married and have kids.

I'm not sure I understand the question. You went on a date, he kissed you, you made out, your mom called and interrupted. Why are you confused? Obviously he likes you and you like him (although the jesus missionary thing is a little scary). So what is it he did you don't understand?

He did not do anything, JMO, he was being very nice from what I understand! If he wants to continue this, he will call you and you can pick up where you left off.
