A few months ago, I went for lunch with a girl at work. She asked me out of the blue.It went really well(she kept telling me details of where she was going out that evening)We continued to chat via email,as she was in another team. She suggested we go for lunch again, I suggested maybe go for a drink after work, which she agreed to.She also said she'd give me her number, but didn't.

Nxt week she mentioned she met someone that wkn.I said I was happy for and wished her luck.I asked if she wanted to go for lunch/a drink and she then said she don't want me getting the wrong idea! I wrote back saying I already fancy someone else and only wanted to be friends with her - nothing more!

Since then we haven't really spoken, she did a few times how it was going with the girl I fancied and she kept praising her new man!

Everytime I see her now,she just blanks me!

1.What went wrong?
2.Did I miss my chance?
3.Does she feel embarrassed by me saying I didn't fancy her?
4.New bloke real?

Sounds like you got defensive when she told you she had met someone. You answered with well I like another girl yada, yada, yada. Girls want you to fight for them if you like them. She wanted you to show a little jealousy or make a comment. You gave up wayyy to easy. Girls like to be chased.

She replied to you with don't get the wrong idea because you already made her feel like an idiot by telling her you were happy for her and you didn't fancy her.

So yes, you missed your chance. And she's trying to act nonchalant and make you jealous by rating about her new man.

Hey,ur not the problem.Girls are known to be quite assertive but we can also be so persive. The fact that the two of you have other mates should be reason enough to have a platonic friendship.Maybe she thought you would ask her out but since you didnt she unleashes her disappointment by playing dump.Move on but dont blank her.Just say hallo whenever u meet, she will adjust

You both are playing games...Why would you want a girl who goes out for flirtatious drinks with one guy, then that same day hooks up with someone else?

I agree with my co-parts MOVE ON!!!

Since you "fancy someone else" what chance did you miss? She found someone else who fancies her and she's moved on. Lucky you!
