That would depend on a lot of things. How much were you eating before this crash diet? Are these healthy calories or "empty" ones? Are you exercising too? How fast is your metabolism? How much do you weigh now? How tall are you? How old are you? Will you stick to your diet 100% no matter what?

All of these questions will change the outcome of your diet. Your best bet is to focus on HEALTHY eating, NOT LESS eating, and add plenty of cardio exercise each day. This means walking, running, swimming, biking, aerobics, etc. Situps and crunches are great for muscle tone, but aren't going to help you lose that jiggle around the middle (or anywhere else for that matter).

Oh, and I almost forgot, health experts say that if you're starting a new diet & exercise program, it's safe to lose 2 pounds your first week and then 1 pound a week after that. Any more than that and you're likely to harm your body AND put the weight right back on, so go ahead and take it slow. At that rate, 26 days should put you right around 5 pounds, which may not sound like much (especially if you're overweight) but it can make a HUGE difference in your clothes and your health!

Good luck anyway!

800 calories might be too little. Try 1,200 so you don't starve yourself. Then do some type of exercise to burn off the other calories. If you are wise you can lose about 8 pounds. Or, if you are not already doing this, join a gym like the Y and get into a weight lifting or exercise routine. You may not lose weight because of gaining muscle, but you can still drop to a smaller clothing size. If you swim, try the breast stroke, I hear this actually burns more calories than free style.

It's great to have a $1,000 to spend on clothes. But I wouldn't spend it all on one day. I would put some in savings for the future-nothing major like $50.00. Then use some money each month to buy clothes, that way you can buy clothes during the whole year.

You can definitely lose weight by reducing your caloric intake to 800 calories, but this is extremely dangerous!!!! You will gain it back immediately and possibly more weight once you begin eating regurlarly again.
Believe me, there is nothing wrong with wanting to lose weight or being skinny, but it should never compromise your health :) You should NEVER consume less than 1,000-1,200 calories a day depending on your weight, age, etc....
A healthy weight loss goal is a about 1-2lbs/week. Plus, losing weight this way is much better for you and for not gaining it back!! That's really the goal here...right??

Rapid weight loss is very dangerous and looking "skinny" is very unattractive. If you are overweight then in the first 30 days you should lose no more than 10 lbs. After that 1 to 2 lbs per week is sufficient. That is, if you are over weight.

Ok first of all, to spend $1000 on clothes in one wack is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of....just plain stupid and ignorant, not to mention vain and materialistic and self centered

With that being said you will probably lose about 2 lbs a week, in your case a grand total of 8 lbs...not enough to make you "skinny" by any means...but it would be equivalent to about one dress/pant size
