I just bought my dress today =)
I don't want to show my fiance a pic of me in the dress, but wonder if I should show him a pic of it on the designer's website or leave it a suprise?

What did everyone else do?

I love my wife and she is naturally beautiful. Not just to me either... she is a real stunner!. The problem is she wears ALOT of makeup. I don't like it. She ignores my preference for much less, and sometimes has become angry when I tell her she looks great without so much and I would like her to wear less.

Is there any way I might get what I want?

When would you think is a good time to tell someone about something like that? First date? When the relationship starts to look serious? When you are talking marriage? After the wedding?

So my best friend is having a long distance relationship, and when i was on her myspace she had sent him these questions about masterbation and he replied and was talking about how much he wanted to have sex with her. She just turned 15 and I think its a little early to be thinking about sex, especially since they've never even met! Im trying to keep it to myself, but its really hard. He could be like a rapist or something! What would you do?

He hinted that he loves me already. And I love him, too.
One day,he held my hand and said that he was regret that he had a wife.I know he means it's not posible for us to be together.I always try to forget him but I cann't.I always think about him and I can't concentrate on my study.I often ignore him and want to let him feel that I don't love him.But when he ignored me too and played with other girl happily, I was very sad.One day he saw a boy was talking with me,he said that I was playing love game. After that,he always talk with other girls cheerfully.I was very miserable.

How can I do?

The more I work to get out financial stress the more she drag me into poverty. I sit down to talk with her and three day later things starts going backwards. I work two job plus online schooling. She accuse me being lazy. When I come home, I have to clean, cook, wash dishes and do laundry while she is there watching tv with the kids. I talk her that its not fair, she turn to give and my kids orders. Now I look upon myself as a slave in my family. She left me five times but for the sake of kids she came back. She kept on asking for divorce and I finally made up my mind that she has to go. But it now turning that she is fighting to keep her marriage despite that I had assured her that I will not come back to her. She claim that she never knew how much she hurted me yet still thing are steady going backwards. what next?

When I was two my mom left my father in the middle of the night in Dallas and moved home to Des Moines Iowa, to raise us (me and my brother) around her family. He met someone two years later in Dallas and moved to Seattle with her and had another child he never really helped financially or with anything and he thinks that he is right because she is the one who left. True she did, but that doesn't excuse not helping, does it? I need closure.

Darn it! I let my mom choose the wedding favors because she did a great job with favors for past showers. But now I am having second thoughts.

From reading various posts here, and magazines, etc. I am thinking that her choice may not have been the greatest. She chose these shot glasses http://www.discountmugs.com/usa/glassware-5120-cl-clearshot-glassess.htm

Now I think I'd rather have something like this http://www.favorwarehouse.com/favors/d4157.html and use them as place cards. Then the guests wouldn't have something with our names plastered all over them, they are actually equally priced (maybe actually LESS expensive, and I think more elegant - and functional.

I don't need to hear about how favors are required, waste of money or anything else along those lines. That is not the point, nor is it relevant here.

I don't think I want to hurt mom's feelings and tell her I am having second thoughts about the favors (it might be too late anyways)

What if I do both???

Okay this guy I know name Ron, placed a date add on line and where it said material status he said he was a widow/wider. I was like ok, I feel so sorry for him. We dated 6 months. During this time I asked about his ex wife. He told me that they DIVORCED BEFORE SHE DIED. I was like what? Then I told him to his face that he wasn't a widow/widower that you have to be married to her when she died in order to become one and since they were divorced at the time of her death that he was not one. He said, that he just puts that up there because of her. and that he is.

He has just updated his yahoo profile and he placed it there too. HMMMMM Is this guy nuts are trying to use this as a way to get women to feel sorry for him so that they will date him?

My next question is who is right him or me and why?

Thanks for your answers

So I just instant messaged this guy I like, just saying hey, and when he didn't respond, I sent another im asking if his was there. He didn't respond again, and it said he was idle. I had to restart my computer because it was being annoying, so I just signed off. Then like 2 minutes later, he calls me saying that he saw I imed him and was wondering if it was something important. When I told him it wasn't anything important, just saying hi, he was like oh ok. But then he asked me about what I did during the day, and how an event I helped run turned out last night. We talked and laughed for a couple minutes, and it really put a smile on my face. I felt my voice shaking the whole time, and my face was getting warm lol.

I know this is one small, isolated occurrence, but do you think he could like me? Or am I blowing a normal situation way out of proportion? lol. (He's also been showing a lot of signs lately in his body language and behavior that he might like me.)

Am I the only bride out there that doesn't feel the urge to slap my monogram on everything that can possibly associated with my wedding? I'm excited for my new last name and everything but at the same time I'm not an idiot...I know what it is, so do my guests.

I would much rather not personalize them and resell it after the wedding and buy great things for our house or something.

Whenever I try to talk to my husband, I can't seem to get him to understand without him getting defensive and telling me that it's not HIS fault. We are having a serious communication breakdown. He told me that I'm making everyone miserable, and maybe I am, but I am so frustrated that things just get blown out of proportion and escalate. He never takes responsibility for anything - nothing is ever his fault.

How can I try and tell him that I feel like I'm under his thumb and can't do anything - I am a stay at home mom and I got it thrown in my face that HE makes the house payment, so I should leave if that's what I want. I have two small children.

I'm also very sick and tired of always having to be around his family - my mom died 3 years ago and I am so lonely. I've got no one on my side. It sounds like I'm whining but I am not. I am one of the strong-natured people, but I am so lost without her.

A disinterested third party would be a welcome "intervention".

um, in the beginning of my current relationship i was very immature and had low self-esteem and i put up with a lot of stuff that i should not have, now i'm more mature and have a clearer mind, and he's been really good to me lately, but once in a while i'll think about the stuff that he's done to me and i get mad and a little mistrustful(not only about cheating), even though i know things are better now. it's been going good for like 4 months now, but am i right to hold a grudge? if not, what should i do?

So my bf just recently proposed, and we've set our wedding date for next June...I know it's waaaay too early to send out actual invitations, but should we send something out to our family and friends announcing our engagement and the planned date? My family's throwing us an engagement party, but I'm wondering about something more for out of state relatives and friends, who'll probably be attending the wedding. Any ideas??

Fall 2008 will mark 3 years my husband and I have been married. We got married in 2005 and due to Hurricane Katrina had to settle for a justice of the peace type ceremony. Since our anniversary date is set on a Saturday of 2008 I thought it'll be special to through an anniversary party for ourselves since neither of our families could attend the actual ceremony.

My question is, does anyone have any ideas as to how it should be? for instance, we don't want to have a big wedding or anything but was thinking of just having a nice reception party OR my husband was thinking of having a bbq. We're just pretty much confused and need help.

During our separation I traded in our van for and explorer. We had been separated for 3 months. I was driving a van her parents let me drive but it was never put in my name. When I bought the new vehicle I had it put only in my name.Since we were separated I thought it better to start putting everything in my name. When I gave her the explorer after I bought it I told her it was hers because I was driving the van. I have custody of the five kids through this whole separation. She was living with her parents and had no kids. I gave her the truck with the understanding that we would be back together when we worked things out.
Today it is a year and a half later and we are going to get a divorce. I have taken the explorer back and gave the van back to her parents. Figured she would drive the van since she is living with them. She has shown poor judgement drinking and driving the explorer many times. since the explorer is only in my name and I have the kids full time, shouldn't I get it?
