I IM him...he doesn't respond...I sign off...and he calls me...could that mean something?

Question

So I just instant messaged this guy I like, just saying hey, and when he didn't respond, I sent another im asking if his was there. He didn't respond again, and it said he was idle. I had to restart my computer because it was being annoying, so I just signed off. Then like 2 minutes later, he calls me saying that he saw I imed him and was wondering if it was something important. When I told him it wasn't anything important, just saying hi, he was like oh ok. But then he asked me about what I did during the day, and how an event I helped run turned out last night. We talked and laughed for a couple minutes, and it really put a smile on my face. I felt my voice shaking the whole time, and my face was getting warm lol.

I know this is one small, isolated occurrence, but do you think he could like me? Or am I blowing a normal situation way out of proportion? lol. (He's also been showing a lot of signs lately in his body language and behavior that he might like me.)

I've asked several questions about this guy in the past, and I'm just trying to put it all together to figure out if he really does like me, and if I should tell him how I feel soon before he leaves for college.

We've been working together for almost 3 years, but I only started liking him like 5 months ago or so. He liked one of our other coworkers last summer, and possibly even up until recently, when we found out she was "with" someone else. But we've been flirting and talking a good amount at work now more than ever in the past. The whole him going to college thing is kinda getting in the way though, which is making this an even harder situation .

OKAY! Let me tell you this.. no ordinary guy or just 'friendl' would call you right after you sign off on aim. Trust me I know from experience. He must not like like you yet but doesn't wanna get you away. Therefore he's trying to snatch you so that you won't lose interest in him. He is definetely interested in you so go out there and make your move girl! Just don't be too straightforward and take everything slow.. and talk to him more. Don't let him get away if he's a keeper. ;)

I myself talk to a lot of guys on IM I have over 100 on my list could be he is one of them. Everyone i talk to i could say the same as you,i think he likes me because of the things he says to me.I'm telling you this so you won't take what he says so serious remember they are only playing around with us like we are them. I have some guys that get mad at me if i talk to anyone else or if i don't answer them back when they leave me a message.There are some that send me pictures and i send some back to them and all awhile i am married and one of them wants me to come see him in England.Do you see what I'm saying to you. I don't know how long this has been going on, but, it sounds that you're both waiting for the other to talk about feelings first. If neither of you is mature to bring up the subject, do you really believe you're ready for any relationship. Just something to think about.

just b/c you IM'd him ... doesnt mean he had to call you back when you signed off... he did that because he wanted to... nobody was forcing him to... I think he likes you.. but I'm just going by this one incident...
