First I thnk purple wih yellow accents will be really pretty.

There are so many things you can do for a centerpiece, that it is difficult to give ideas when I don't know your tastes. BUT I did find a few web sites for you. I would also suggest checking out you local craft stores and wedding magazines!

Good luck!

I would avoid the hearts thing...its a little out played and pretty cheesy for valentines day.

Flowers are going to be much more expensive so you might want to cut back on those if you are on a budget.

Perhaps you can do something victorian or roman to celebrate St. Valentine instead of valentines day.

I just did a wedding in a book depository where we put lamps as the centerpieces with a few florals instead of the usual candelabra. The lighting was very romantic and unique. Can you tell us a little more about your colors, the location?

Do you or your Fiance have particular hobbies or interests? My fiance is an avid fly fisherman (and so will be a number of guests). I didn't want to go overboard with any fish stuff, but I did want to honor it a bit. The centerpiece is a mock fishing creel (one of the baskets that fisherman hold fish in) with flowers coming out of it. It is a bit cuter than the real thing, but the guests will get the connection. If you want to do butterflies, a nice basket with a fake butterfly glued on the side or a handle may be nice (or one of those plant stickers). One tip: Try looking on ebay. I got a screaming deal on the fishing creels there.

i admire your centerpeieces yet could somewhat like them with a pair of ameliorations. i do no longer think of they could look undesirable on a black table textile in case you tie a black ribbon around the vase. The vase is somewhat too undeniable. How vast are your tables? they are no longer a foul top if the table is gigantic adequate. in the experience that your tables are small then possibly come across a shorter vase. What are the present vases made up of? Is there besides to shrink them down? yet i think of including a black ribbon around them could make a worldwide of distinction and it nevertheless ties into your colour subject. solid success.

It's kind of expensive, but different. You could use different cakes-double layered-1 tier. They all should be a diff flavor and/or style. Another idea, is candles. they have a variety and I think they are cheaper tahn flowers.
