i think its disturbing!!

I am worred about my future, with marriage. Indians have arranged marriages, like about 75% these days. My parents and my parents parents had arranged marriages. But I dont want to have them because It would feel weird getting married to a man who is actually like a stranger to a girl. My parents only saw each other once and they never met again until the night of theyre wedding. Isn't that kind of unfair? Dont we need to meet the people our parents are going to marry us too?

I have decided by myself that when I go to college I start dating indian men. I dont want to get married to a complete indian stranger ( by the means of how my parents choose things this guy might be ugly too). So how do you love a arranged man for you? How do you connect? How do you have a honeymoon with this "stranger"?
Can someone please explain why indians have arranged marriages? Can someone please explain to me why we cant let modern civilaztion take over?

We reside in Oklahoma & recently a really good job offer for my husband has come along problem it is Burlington, Ontario,Canada. I'm scared to go but, I think it could be exciting and I have heard alot of good things about Canada. I also think my husband would be happier at the plant in Burlington. I am extremely close to my mother and her and my step father have never gone a month without seeing their granddaughter, I told my Mom that we were considering moving to Canada and she started crying. I don't know what to do, and I can't even tell her how often we might be able to visit because we really don't know what the finacial situation will be if we make the move. Anyone out there with some advise or just words of wisdomand/or encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Is it normal to say the most stupid and horrible things right before the wedding? Last night I pretty much told my fiancé that he was cheap. It was about my engagement ring. I'm NOT a material person, and ANY ring from HIM is worth all the money in the world, and I don’t care how much he spent.....but why did I start an argument about it?? I've been starting arguments for the last week or so. What is wrong with me??? I love him with all my heart but I'm hurting him with the way I have been acting. He may even cancel the wedding now, and I can't blame him. WHY am I doing this, and how can I take back the awful things I said?? It's COMPLETELY all MY fault. He's been nothing but good to me.

keep beagin my girlfriend to forgive me??....my gf left me because am too jalous.....what happen is that a couple of months ago my gf cheated on me, I finally forgived her but I couldnt stop thinkng and having the image of her and the other guy in bed, since that day I became really jalous and I didnt trust her

okay everytime i get on myspace this person always messages me or send me a comment or whenever i get on myspace im they sends me a IM (& he cant get the hint i dont want to be bothered) I MEAN THEY DO THIS ALL THE TIME!!. I told this person how annoyed i get whenever they do this and i say it as nicely as i can but the person cannot get the hint. I have been with him for three years now, and this has been on and off our entire relationship: this whole porn issue. I am at my wits end here... we are both in leadership positions at our church...and we are engaged now! ENGAGED! He is the youth minister, and I found nasty porn videos and thumbnails in his laptop! The bible says when another man looks at another woman with lust, he has committed adultery with her in his heart and mind. So, he has cheated on me. I love him, but I can't deal with this in a marriage OH NO. Should I give him an ultimatim or should I tell him GOODBYE. A lot of guys I know simply get turned off by their wife's ever growing body, they become disinterested in their marriage and often turn to late night drinking bars. And all the while their women all complain that their husband are not interested in them anymore and are poor lovers. Why can't women just get the simple idea that a big flabby body means a major turn off? And why can't they just take care their body like they used to? It is too much to ask.

I like a boy and he told his cousin that he likes me. His cousin told me that the boy told him that he likes me. I told my BFF and she asked him if he likes me but around his best freind. He said no. People think it's ridiculous that I spent $260 on my veil but I have no clue how much it's supposed to cost. Funny thing is my dress cost a little over $400. Here is it...so tell me is it crazy to spend so much on the veil when the dress is not too far from that price.

My life sucks, my mom hasn't been home for dinner for the last weeek and when she is home she drags her sorry butt upstairs and strokes my sisters hair and just cuddles with her, my sister is spoiled by my nanny gets whatever she wants and beats me up. I refuse to go but If my husband begs I must down a couple of beers in order to see her.. I just cannot do it!!! I wish I could make him happy and go and at least put up a front!! I've also deposited $50 which until now she never refunded nor has she contacted me to return. She accused me of not caring for my wedding, and she is unprofessional by not considering that all weddings have flaw. 15 minutes is not 2 hours.

My husband says no way, he is doing what he has been called to do. I say, we have driven up to 500 miles round trip, and given many weekends for rehersals and weddings, and it would be nice to be paid at least a token amount.

“I have a friend” I know sounds like one of those things but really she needs the advice and I don’t want to tell her what I really feel because I hate her husband and that would not be fair. Ok here’s the situation she has been married for about 10 years but she is really unhappy he treats her like dirt. He disrespects her in front of people. She wants to leave but don’t know how. i have a lets say family member in a abusive relationship. it has progressivly gotten worse. he has threatened to kill her and yet she still stays. i was told there was some sort of list of the different stages of abuse. i am just at my whits end with this whole thing im scared to death for her and her child. My husband has been acting weird my whole pregnancy - he won't come up and touch my tummy, he doesn't say i'm beautiful pregnant or anything. I'm 8 months and really starting to show - and he's starting to show a different side too...i'm supposed to be beautiful and he should be happy that's his son in there...is it me or is he just nervous about the baby....maybe he doesn't love me anymore becaue of it? On my wedding day I would like to purchase tulle and drape it down the middle of the pews accented by pew bows. I want it to be pretty with a gentle look. My question is does anyone know what I need width wise to execute this look? Does anyone have any other helpful advise on decorating pews with tulle and bows?
