I think its control/empowerment...

I think some guys like it because it makes them feel powerful. I mean, parents have a lot of control over their kids right? So for a man to have his partner call him "daddy" might give him a sense that he has some sort of power over her.

I don't necessarily think it is bad or gross, although I agree, for most people it can feel a bit creepy!

I think all guys have a latent urge to have a girlfriend who is much younger than them. You know, back in ancient times, like Biblical times, it was common for men in their late 20s or early 30s to marry girls in their late (sometimes early) teens. This was not because they were necessarily lecherous, though what I'm saying is that men tend to be this way, but because it was practical. You couldn't marry if you did not have enough money to live and it took you years to build up your "fortune" so you could afford a nice house, wife, and kids. And you would want to marry someone who was young because young women are more capable of having the dozen or so children you needed to have. Anyway. I think it's rooted in that sort of mentality that is based on physical strength (older man with more "money") and youthful ability to bear young.

LOL!!! That is what I used to say, but I guess they like it because they feel powerful. I have asked my husband and he says he just likes it that there is no reason.

But if you don't like to call your guy daddy, then think of another pet name that you comfortable with.

Well, it's not meant in the literal sense; sometimes a guy likes a woman to "look up to them"; it's as if they are emasculated. Don't look at it as disturbing, certianly not in a fraternal way, ok?

I've always wondered that myself, which is about as far as I got...'cause I wouldn't spend any time with one who did. Sorry, I think there is something not right goin on in the guys that do...and I'm wouldn't be interested in finding out what, in particular, is a bit skewed (including, just plain immaturity)

My GF thinks it's so wrong too.
It's a ownership thing... a control thing.
"Daddy" just means you have control over them and what you say goes. It's sort of when they wanna know they're in chanrge in the bedroom.

Nothing to do with your father.
But I get the girl's side of it being weird.

I don't care for a girl to call me daddy. I think it's a little stupid

men like it when they are in charge of the relationship, even if its by a little percent. and since dads are usually head of the family and in charge, callin ur bf daddy is tellin him he's the head of the relationship.
its common logic.

Ummm it's just playing around to me...just like when you call them "My cute little teddy-bear"

They also like it when you say "Come get me big daddy"...though that could be taken, so so wrong....LOL

It's up to the girl. Everyone has different taste...remeber that. :D
