me, my mom, and my older sister were having a conversation:
sis- how can you save more money on food?
mom- get your boyfriend to pay for it.
me- he does, when we go out. i offer to pay, but he says he wouldn't feel right.
sis- how come she gets the sweet guy?
mom- don't worry it's not gonna last.

me and my boyfriend have been going out for almost 6 months now, and we love each other alot. what should i say to my mom? i thought that was completely rude, and i'm very upset about it.

btw: i'm 18, sis is 21

Could you say that a girl who talks about children and what kind of house she wants on the first date is the female equivalent of a guy who on the first date talks about what kinds of sexual positions he'd like to try?

my boyfriend has told me that i'm going to be engaged before my birthday (September), and we've decided that we're prob going to plan the wedding around late may or early june
the thing is, i want to show my parents that i'm not as scatterbrained and irrespondsible as they think i am (what can i say, i'm their baby....their 22 year old baby), and when we get engaged and tell them, i want to be able to show my mother and sister that i already have a lot of it planned out so they will see that i'm not going to make them plan it all for me (i mean, i want them to be a part of it, but i don't want to just say "hey mom, i'm engaged! now plan everything for me!") so what do i need to go about doing first?
please no mean answers guys!
thanks!!

I found out my ex from 10 years ago had genital Herpes while we dated and didn't tell me. I always use protection, no matter who it is. The first doctor I went to about this said the only way to determine 100% if I have herpes would be to run a culture test on an active cold sore. Well, I've never had any sores. He told me to just wait and see. I decided to get a second opinion. That doctor pretty much said the same thing except he told about some blood tests that could be done. However, he said that if I have ever had so much as a cold sore on my mouth as a kid or had chicken pox then the herpes virus is already in my system and the blood test would only show that I exposed to herpes NOT what kind of herpes or the location of infection on my body. So the doctor advised me against the blood test.
Do I go on with my life as if all is normal like before? Do I wait for a diagnosis and some physical sign that I have herpes before I tell future lovers? What should I tell future partners?

I have paid my child support. the back support claimed is all interest charges! it's a huge amount over $11,000! I'll never be able to pay this off. I have custody of another son where I can't get the mother to pay any support! The courts seem to believe everything the woman cries about. what about the child I have custody of? this is a lot of BS! it never was for the "best interests of the child" if it was I should be getting support for my other son!

my kids' dad (ex hausband) is in jail. We broke up 3 years ago and I've moved on and really happy. Thier dad has not really been a part of thier lives because he was really caught up in drugs and basically a total flake. Well I guess since hes been in jail, hes been sober and wrote me a letter deciding he should take a role in our kids lives.
Anyway.. his girlfriend just had a baby and she would really like our kids to see their baby brother. Should I take them? The kids dont know her very well, but since they are half brother/sister, i kinda feel obligated to let them see the baby... what should I do??

(You might need to read my question "Was I mean to the bridesmaid???" if you're not familiar with this question.

Well, now, she's getting back with me finally and asking when and where she should go to get her dress.

I've been childish, I admit, and not returned her emails, but seriously, she's not going to get her dress on time, even with a rush charge applied to the dress.

Her husband also called my fiance and left him a voicemail and said that he and she were ready to come and get fitted and measured, but they want to do it all in the same day. The husband's tux would be fine, and he could get the tux, but the bridesmaid dress won't match the others because it won't come from the same color dye set. (Supposedly.)

I don't want to lose them as friends, and I know my fiance doesn't, either, but they never called us back until this past Sunday. I've been milling over this since then, and the wedding is September 1st.

HELP!

Alright check it out. You see there is this guy I like from school and I am not really sure if he likes me back. We recently graduated from highschool and he will occasionally call me and ask me if I miss him or ask me why I don't call him anymore but our conversations on the phone are really short so here are my questions do you think he likes me? and How can I ask him if he wants to go to the movies with me and a couple of friends and their boyfriends without making it to obvious that I like him

P.S. he was voted class clown by the entire school

Some time ago, my cousin got married. Months prior she'd notified me that she was engaged & due to get married at the end of the yr. Then I never heard about the wedding until after it happened...apparently she invited EVERYBODY in my immediate family EXCEPT me. She invited my dad & all 4 of my siblings. No one in my family has seen/contacted our cousins much in the past 9yrs(due to a "cold war" b/t my mom & aunt), but before that, I was the cousin she'd been closest to. I never did anything wrong to her(how could I, if I'd only seen her twice in the last 9yrs??), so I'm hurt & disgusted.

If I get married someday, should I leave her off the invite list since she specifically included everyone except me? My dad thinks so. He thinks that I should just leave her whole family off the invite, but I'd rather invite everyone in her family EXCEPT her(to be passive-aggressive).

Also, if you were my family, would you have gone to the wedding if you knew that I was deliberately uninvited?

My boyfriend says some men do it to show, "this is my girl, she is not available, she is mine"- do you hold your girls hand to show she is yours, or because you just LOVE to hold her hand. My boyfriend is not a jealous guy, we always cuddle, kiss in public, and are affectionate, but he says holding hands makes him feel like he is taking control, or showing ownership. What do you think about holding hands?

GOSH! how oweful but he is doing that way each time he talks to me! Is he stinky or he does not mean it ... he is a married man but I really got sick of that! Is it normal that men look that way?

My fiance and I are getting our engagement pictures done tomorrow. We're having our pictures done at a park and it's supposed to be nice - about 75-80 degrees and sunny. The appointment is at 5:30.

Now, I plan on wearing a white button up blouse with a tank top under it, and jean capris.

I think he's going to wear a light blue plaid short sleeve shirt and jeans.

People have said that it sounds like we're going to be too casual. Others have said that it sounds great, because we hate to dress up.

Any ideas of poses we can do that don't look too "forced"?

The Colbert Report recently featured a guest that had written a book on happiness (not a self help book, but a book discussing what made most people happy and who the happiest people tended to be). Anyway, he said that people with children were less happy than those without. He said that when people THINK of their children, it makes them happy. But that we spend a lot more time actually dealing with the children than just thinking about them.

Thoughts?

*I'm putting this in marriage & divorce because you guys are more interesting than those in the other categories.

Why are Indian parents so selfish?
Why are Indian parents so selfish? They worry too much about their sons giving them a good life ( better abroad ) and sort out their economical issues. They want to marry their daughters because they know that Indian girls will not have any future unless they get married to a rich boy ( again, better abroad ) who will give them everything because this girls will never be able to do anything by themselves, plus, their parents will be specting their sons to do the rest of the work. Is that love?
