I did a vow renewal there once - very nice man - Pastor Harold Kilborn on Kauai - can't recommend him highly enough! he's a native Hawaiian - even blew the conch shell for us! http://www.hawaiilink.net/~dx/Southshore/
here's a link or two to look at - http://www.alohafriends.com/Hawaii_weddingtraditions.html

well, there's a difference between getting married in hawaii, and having a traditional hawaiian wedding. most weddings in hawaii simply consist of a marriage ceremony on the beach with leis worn by the men and the women, perhaps some ukulele music, a local officiator. but if you are talking about a wedding done in a hawaiian, as in indigenous, manner, that might include other things, like hawaiian language, a luau, a hawaiian priest, etc.

A Hawaiian themed wedding is a great idea, and you don't have to actually be in Hawaii to do it.

A must have is a Lei for the bride and groom and also all of your guests.

Check the local area for hula dancers for hire. Hire one or two for the reception, and have them teach your guests how to hula dance.

If you are looking for real excitement, hire fire dancers to put on a show at your reception.

Have your menu consist of a kalua pig and other Hawaiian favorites like mahi mahi (fish) and fruit like pineapple, papaya and coconuts.
