normally, any floor-length wedding dress would be considered formal. however, there are ways to make it look less formal (bustle it, do an informal hairstyle, etc) if that's what you're going for.

Its a pretty formal dress-appropriate for a formal or semi-formal wedding. I say semi-formal wedding because even at casual or more informal weddings the bride can wear a very formal gown.

Gorgeous!!

It has a semi-cathedral train - definitely formal.

If I can throw in just two cents worth of unsolicited advice: When you have it altered, ask your seamstress for an underbustle, so you're not dragging it around all night, but it'll still show off that gorgeous beadwork!
I had a similar dress line, also with a beaded semi-cathedral train, and the underbustle was perfect for still letting the beadwork show - AND it's super-duper easy to bustle! :)

Best wishes!

That's a beautiful gown! & definitely formal. Any wedding dress of this nature is considered formal. I suggest you stock up on brides magazines & maybe even a wedding etiquette book for all of your questions. They are a big help!

Almost any time a dress touches the floor, it would be considered formal. A tea-length or cocktail length dress would be considered casual.

This is a great dress, btw! I love the splash of color, as well as the beadwork!

I's say "semi-formal", due to the color and train length. It's not all white and not a Princess Di train.

I'd say formal due to the train

To me, this is formal. Slightly unique because it contains red (but this seems to be more common recently), but definitely formal.
