I have paid my child support. the back support claimed is all interest charges! it's a huge amount over $11,000! I'll never be able to pay this off. I have custody of another son where I can't get the mother to pay any support! The courts seem to believe everything the woman cries about. what about the child I have custody of? this is a lot of BS! it never was for the "best interests of the child" if it was I should be getting support for my other son!

You should check in your area for a supportive father's relief group. There is a loose-knit group of organizations around the country that help fathers who are paying an unjust amount of child support try to get a fair deal. They usually do not charge.

You may also be able to file for support for the son you have custody of - if his mom has any income. If she is remarried, the income can come from her husband.

Where do you live that they have interest charges for child support.. ??? I have never heard of that...
Now you know how the mother felt with you not paying support when you didnt!!
Pay what you have to pay...

Let me see if I understand this correctly..you flagged off on supporting your own child, you were caught, had to pay the ex, and was charged interest on the money you owed...sounds fair to me. If you had paid all along, she may have been able to save some of her money for a nest egg INSTEAD of you! Pay up, dude, you owe the woman the money. No sympathy here.

Should have used birth control.

You can try to settle with the mother(s) if you want but you basically have to pay a chunk of change, they would probably settle for half right now...
