Ok, my real question is, "Can you lust after your own spouse, or are the lusty feelings just part of the package, with no harm, no foul"?

If you don't lust after your own spouse, somebody isn't doing something right. You should both strive to maintain a healthy sexual identity for your mutual physiological and psychological benefit. If you are lusting after your wife however, you should not necessarily tell her! You should show her in subtle and romantic ways that pique her interest and allow her time to get into a receptive mood. Just because you have a ring on your finger, that does not mean that the courtship is over. The courtship is a lifetime quest, and love is a dragon that must never be slain!

Yes, my husband lusts after me and I him... Do you think lust in general is wrong? is that what you are implieing with this question, that you shouldn't have lust in your life because of some biblical message, which is kinda confusing because you are a married man who has lust in his life for his wife... which kinda contradicts the concept of lustfullness being bad... any way, I think we all need it (lust) in our lives, a little lust on the side doesn't hurt either as long as it is directed at your partner in the end of the day. Lust makes me feel alive!!!
P.S. If this question was just for kicks and I have taken it completely the wrong way and now you are laughing at me then I feel reall stupid right now! Ha Ha LOL.

Let's see--there was a very old song about love & marriage--go together like a horse & carriage--wish I could make a rhyme with lust. You certainly got my attention with your clever question! Of course you can, & the longer the better, before you wind up in separate bedrooms.

This is perfectly Normal and Healthy. It keeps the spark alive but do not let it become an Obsession. You will push the other partner away, if you are "too" clingy.
