It really depends how close you are with your cousin I think. One of my cousin's weddings, i just gave them cash... I knew that was what they wanted.
Then my other cousin just got married I was really close to and wanted to make something from the heart so I made a care package for them - They still tell me how much they loved it. Basically I took a pretty basket (that I got at the dollar store) and put 2 bottles of wine, 2 wine glasses, and a bunch of goodies like chocolate kisses, cookies, crackers, etc. Wrapped it up in some white shear tooling and put a bow on it and sprayed a little glitter on it. They later told me they packed it up to take on their honeymoon and thought of me every time they took something out of it.
If there is more then one person giving this as a gift, you could ad some restaurant gift cards so they have a little something extra. Good luck!!:)

Cookbooks of their favorite cusine. A picnic basket with all the works. A starting collection of fine wines! Find what their favorite things are and just combine them in a basket. Utensils to cook a meal together and the food items and wine and a good favorite music CD for a romantic dinner and evening together! Enclose a nice note card! Good Luck in finding the perfect personalized gift!!!

If you all pool your $$ together you can get a really nice gift.
OK that said, what are their interests? Don't know? Check out their registry for a nice gift.
Oh, and while it's NEVER OK for the bridal couple to ASK for cash - it's perfectly acceptable for guests to give cash in lieu of a material gift.

a card w/ cash or check inside.
Cash is a good wedding gift b/c the couple can put it towards their honeymoon, towards a downpayment on a house or to buy an regsitry items that people did not get them.

they should have a registry. i would check that. if they dont you cant go wrong with home decor: glass vase, painting, decorative wall hangings or kitchen appliances: toaster, waffle maker, blender etc.
some department stores also have wedding sections that you can browse through...good luck

They probably registered somewhere... Check theknot.com and target.com or even walmart.com. I would get them something off the registry or give them money. Don't buy them something you 'think' they'll like. Either registry or money- case closed!

Buy something from their registry, it will be the best, that's why they took the time to register.
