I have 2 kids and we went to my best friend's house last night for dinner. We were having clams, my kids aren't picky at all. So my bf and her husband and 1 child sat down and started eatting the clams like there was no tomarrow. I started eatting them they were extremely tasty and delcious my kids, picked at it and hardly ate anything. They were having a sleepover so I couldn't feed them anything afif they were to have come home. I was wondering what I should have done now and if it would have been rude to say that "My kids don't like clams can you make them something else?".

I have tried everything. I've spanked, put her in time out, taken out all furniture in her room except her mattress. She agrues with me all the time and she'll stay in her room and cry for hours. She stacks chairs ontop of tables to get things that I've put out of her reach. She'll stand on anything she can think of. We have to lock everything but if she wants it bad enough she'll figure out how to get it. I've tried rewards but that doesn't work either. I just don't know what to do anymore. Any suggestions or advise is wanted!1 HELP PLEASE!!!

I have a one year old (one on sunday) - walks wth holding on to things -

qn:
1.as a beginner, are the stride rite shoes worth it? tjheyre cute, but are they worth the value?

2. My other option is the pediped, robeez, them soft leather shoes. Pediped looks like she can wear them out, the rest look more indoor-ish is that true? DO you prefer one over the other, and are they good....or is the knockoffs at target the same thing ?

It happens during diaper changing as well, but not quite as severe. He begins crying uncontrollably and throwing a fit. Here is what we've tried so far-
*variety of toys
* pacifier, (he throws both of these)
*Distractions
*Moving as fast as we can!
*We also try and team up if both myself and Daddy are home. *Changing locations from bedroom, changing table and floor.
There is not medical reason for this. (Ear infection for example) Any ideas, or is this just a "phase"?

My 2 year old and 6 month old share a room. They were fine in their beds untill at about two in the morning I woke up to my 6 month year old sons crying. I ran in the room and my son ws lying on the floor and his lip was cut and bleeding, and than my 2 year old was in HIS crib. Luckily I just wiped the blood of and he had a little deep cut. I asked my 2 year old what happened and she didn't answer. The next night I woke up to my 6 month year old crying again. I ran in and he was on the floor with no cuts or anything and again.... My 2 year old was in his crib! I decided to let my 2 year old switch beds with my 5 year old for a night and nothing went wrong. My two year old is doing SOMETHING and she won't tell me. URGGGGG!!!!! it's so annoying. I am thining of putting my 2 year olds bed in my 5 year olds bedroom and putting my 5 year old in my 6 month olds room but that won't tell me what happened. What do you think happened??? How do I get my 2 year old to tell me the truth!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son (2 yrs.) won't swallow certain foods, such as fruit, vegetables, and some meat. He'll chew it up and then spit it out. I don't think he dislikes the food/flavor because he'll continue to put that food in his mouth (rather than spitting it out and not continuing to eat it).

He's been doing it for a while--since he's been eating table foods. For a while, I thought it was just a phase and he'd grow out of it. However, it has been about a year. I try to discourage the behavior, by telling him to swallow his food. I don't want to be too harsh, though, because I am afraid it will influence him not to eat fruits/veggies at all.

Does this sound normal? Have you had this experience? What should I do?

I've tried using "pull-ups" and using toys and books to get him to stay on the potty, but they are just not helping. I know boys might take a little bit longer to learn than girls but how long? My daughter was a breeze but its a battle everyday and i don't want it to be. somebody help

It doesn't matter if I am singing it, my husband, or if she hears it on a lullaby music cd. She immediately starts crying, tears rolling down her face and it takes a few minutes to calm her down. It's just really weird! Has anyone else seen where a child is really sensitive to a particular song? What could be the reasons for this?

They were playing with barbies and my 5 year old wanted the same barbie as her so she grabbed it away. My two year old started crying and my five ear old just hit her. My 2 year old than attemted to grab it and my 5 year old took the big barbie doll house and crshed it on the 2 year olds head! my ten year old was watching them and attemting to stop when she ran to get me. My 2 year old was laying on the ground screaming and her face was bright red. My 5 year old was sitting on the couch with a "I am in trouble" look. My two year old cied and cried for about 2 hours when she finally calmed down. When she calmed down my 10 year old told me the whole thing. My two year oold has a bruise on her head. I know that because whenever I put ppick tails iin she crys. There is also a bruise in her cut.
